About Neoteny Labs Neoteny Labs is currently in the process of establishing an early-stage investment fund and incubator. The principals behind Neoteny Labs are Joichi Ito (General Partner) and Reid Hoffman (Investment Committee Chairman). 1. Event Background

1A. About Neoteny Labs

Neoteny Labs is currently in the process of establishing an early-stage investment fundand incubator. The principals behind Neoteny Labs are Joichi Ito (General Partner) andReid Hoffman (Investment Committee Chairman).

2. Event Programme

Each event day will be split into 2 halves - morning and afternoon - with the first(morning) half being a single-track plenary session with keynotes, talks and paneldiscussions. The second (afternoon) half will be conducted in the form of anunconference. An unconference is a facilitated, participant-driven conference centredaround a theme or purpose. In our case, the theme is "Connecting with the Hub ofAsia".

3. Expected Attendees

We expect attendee numbers to be between 200 and 300, with a stronger concentrationof investors, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial executives (85%). We also expect to seea small proportion of students (NUS, NTU and SMU) and iLEs, and hopefully at thesame time reach out to the developer and start-up ecosystem in Asia Pacific.

4. Event Costing

Attendance at the event will be free of charge upon registration at our event site athttp://nsc1.neotenylabs.com. In order to make this event a reality, Neoteny Labs hassought sponsorships from private-sector partners and government agencies.

The majority of the sponsorship money will be used to cover the flight andaccommodation expenses for the overseas speakers, with the remainder for F&B andother related event infrastructure.

5. Sponsorship Sought

Neoteny Labs is seeking sponsorships in blocks of US$5,000 from interested andsynergistic partners. Interested parties should contact James Chan [email protected].
