Foreword

The NSW Aquaculture Industry Directory has been produced by Fisheries NSW to showcase the

diversity of farmed seafood and ornamental fish available from NSW.

This directory is not inclusive of all producers in NSW. Due to privacy legislation, this directory

only identifies those businesses that have nominated to be listed.

The directory enables buyers to contact growers/suppliers of farmed seafood. It also helps

existing and prospective aquaculture operators to network with other industry stakeholders that

are relevant to their current or proposed operations.

This directory also serves to demonstrate to potential investors that NSW aquaculture is an

industry with sound infrastructure. As such, it forms an integral part of the NSW Government’s

aquaculture strategy that aims to ensure that NSW is able to capture a solid share of the growth

in the aquaculture industry in Australia.

Section 1 of the directory identifies producers of shellfish species (includes molluscs and

crustaceans) farmed in NSW.

Section 2 of the directory identifies finfish aquaculture producers in NSW.

Section 3 of the directory identifies hatchery producers in NSW, including those accredited

under the NSW Hatchery Quality Assurance Scheme.

Section 4 of the directory identifies aquaculture producers that have tourism facilities.
