We are happy to share with you the NTR Trust e-News Bulletin for the months of November and December

2016. We will be happy to have your feedback. The Month of January has been extremely hectic for us with

back to back events. We apologise for the delay in sharing the e-Newsletter.

HIGHLIGHTS

1. The First Pradhan Manthri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK Centre) in Telangana was inaugurated at NTR Trust

Skill Development Centre by Hon’ble Minister of Labour and Employment, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya on

04 November 2016.

2. Navyandhra Pusthaka Sambaralu (NPS) - a book exhibition cum Telugu language,the literary and

cultural festival - has commenced in Nellore & Rajamahendravaram. This 10- day long event will travel

to 7 major cities across Andhra Pradesh. NTR Trust is happy to collaborate with Vijayawada Book

Festival Society and Department of Language and Culture of Andhra Pradesh, which is set to witness 3

lakh visitors.

3. A Job Mela was held on 16th & 17th of December, 2016 at Rajahmundry Govt Arts College. Sri. Buchiah

Chowdary Garu initiated this Job Mela along with VIKASA,Nannaya University and NTR Trust.

4. We feel proud to acknowledge the generosity of Mr. Seshu Edala (USA), Mr. P. Srinivas Rao

(Hyderabad), Kudaravalli Sudhakar (Kuwait), Mothukuri Visweswara Rao (Dubai), Philadelphia

Telangana Association for becoming Mentors under the Mentor the Hero Programme

(www.bit.ly/ntrtmth) . As Mentors they will be supporting free and holistic education to Orphan

Children at NTR Model Schools and help ignite minds through their crucial years of growth.

EDUCATION

Key Activities:

1. Children’s day was celebrated at NTR Educational Institutions at Hyderabad, Warangal & Challapalli.

Mr. Y.Mohan Rao, COO of Education & Mr. N S Prasad, Director addressed the children and

encouraged them to work hard and achieve their goals. The Program began with a tribute to Chacha

Nehru. Various activities like outdoor games, map making with flowers, painting, group song, fancy

dress were performed by students and teachers.

HEALTH Key Activities:

1. NTR Trust Blood Bank has committed to issuing free blood units

to Thalassemic Children through the Blood Shield initiative. We

at NTR Trust Blood Bank ensure continued and timely supply of

safe blood to Thalassemic Children.

2. Ms. Nara Brahmani, Trustee of NTR Trust voluntarily donated

blood on her birthday (21 December 2016). Team NTR Trust

was extremely happy to have our Trustee join us for her

birthday celebrations at NTR Trust.

3. Training on Team Building was

4. During November and December 2016, various organizations and individuals have come forward to

voluntarily donate blood. We salute their amazing spirit and thank the institutions, employees, and

well-wishers for giving us the opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of voluntary blood

donation. The venues of the blood donation camps are -

HDFC Bank, Verizon, Genpact, Dr.S.V Krishna College,

APREDA.

5. During November and December 2016, NTR Trust organized

free Medical Camps at Nellore, Vissannapet, Katuru, Balepalli,

Bhimavaram across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, wherein

people were given free treatment and medicines. The

response and cooperation of the people were encouraging.

9. NTR Trust conducted a Free Medical Camp at Enikepadu, Krishna District

10. NTR Trust Blood Shield Initiative

11. NTR Trust in collaboration with Vishnu Dental College organized free oral health camp at

Gollavanitippa Village

12. A free Allopathic and Ayurvedic Medical Camp organized by NTR Trust at Gandhi Nagar

13. Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Dr. V.S. Krishna Govt Degree & PG College, Visakhapatnam

14. Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at NVR College of Engineering, Guntur

15. NTR Trust organized Free Medical Camp at Potlapalli, Husnabad

16. NTR Trust organized Free Medical Camp at Pedakurapadu Village, Guntur

17. Training on team building was conducted for NTR Sujala Staff

18. Ms.Nara Brahmani voluntarily donated blood on her birthday (21 Dec 2016)

20. Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Gurla Mandalam, Vizianagaram

EMPOWERMENT AND LIVELIHOODS

Key Activities:

1. The first Pradhan Manthri Koushal Kendra (PMKK Centre) was inaugurated at NTR Trust by Hon’ble

Minister of Labour and Employment, Shri Bandaru Dattatreya. This PMKK centre has 5 State of the Art

skill labs. NSDC (National Skill Development Centre) has recognized NTR Trust as first PMKK Centre in

the state of Telangana. NTR Trust in collaboration with Synchro Serve will be running this PMKK

centre. MLC, Mr. N.Ramchandra Rao, NTR Trust CEO Mr. T.Vishnu Vardhan & Synchro Serve CEO Mr.

Adapa Raja Suresh Kumar were present at this event and addressed 700 unemployed youngsters.

Students of NTR Trust Skill Development Centre who got employment were given offer letters and

course completion certificates.

2. Sri Ajit Karnam, Chief Manager (Retired) from Andhra Bank APEX College, Hyderabad distributed

certificates to the candidates who have successfully completed 4 weeks of free training at NTR Trust

SDC Centre, Hyderabad.

3. Students from KIIT School of Rural Management - Bhubaneswar interned with NTR Trust created an

awareness campaign on Cleaning, Sapling plantation and

Hand Wash at Mandal Parishath Upper Primary (MPUP),

Samaguttapalli Village, Chittoor District.

4. Mr. K. Chandra Mohan, operations Head of Way to

Works.com distributed certificates to the candidates

who have successfully completed 4 weeks of free

training at NTR Trust SDC Centre, Hyderabad.

5. Genetic Brain Profiling Programme was organized at SDC

Campus & NTR Junior College, Gandipet, Hyderabad by

eminent trainer Mr. Palani Velayutham. Brain Profiling

helps to understand and map students learning style,

aptitude and personality.

6. NTR Trust along with Nannaya University and VIKASA

organized the Mega Job Mela at the Arts College Ground, Rajamahendravaram. NTR Trust, Trustee

Mr. Nara Lokesh presided over the event as Chief Guest. Over 17,000 youngsters participated in this

event and 60 companies participated in Job Mela. NTR Trust conducted a pre-recruitment training for

job aspirants.

Arts & Culture:

Key Activities:

1. NTR Trust in collaboration with Vijayawada

Book Festival Society and Department of

Language and Culture of Govt of Andhra

Pradesh have initiated a Statewide Event -

Navyandhra Pusthaka Sambaralu (NPS). This

event was kick started in Nellore on 05

November and went on till 13 November,

2016 .This program was inaugurated by Sri P.

Narayana, Minister for Municipal

Administration & Urban Water Supply and

Urban Planning. Through this event, we

intend to take Book Exhibitions to 7 major cities across Andhra Pradesh. NTR Trust conducted literary

competitions for children every day along with Personality Development and Career Guidance lecture

by experts.

2. Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated Navyandhra Pusthaka

Sambaralu at Rajamahendravaram on 19, November 2016. Students from various schools and colleges

participated in various competitions like painting, music, Dance etc. NTR Trust organized Free Medical

Camps and distributed free medicines to 280 public. NTR Trust distributed safe drinking water to

public through NTR Sujala.
