JOHN H. BELL 56 Joh writes "Dear F.I.T.B. Last Big Game Day was a great evet notoly for the thrillig eding, but for my visit to the house after the

game. The house hadt chaged a bit As I dragged my wife ad two teenagers throughhe crowd, istinctively locating the bar, I was surrounded by very young and completelyurecognizable faces.....But then a familiar face made my day It was Da Costello (5)who with a little trick he does with pecil ad paper managed to get me back ito therak of active, or at least semi-active alumni .... I shall make a seious attempt toplan around some o the future evets. Receiving the Nu News was a real pleasure especially being able to catch up on what has been happein to my former classmates sice wealmost destroyed the campus in generalad the Kappa house in particular, during the

    .

mid O. Soin hopes that my nae might reach some of those about whom ve bee reading, heres where ve bee for the last 30 yars Early i 957, I went to work as a pilotfor Pa America, but that lasted only a couple of years sice the advent of jet airraftput quite a few of us temporarily out of work. I the found work in Hawaii flyig spa

dically for Aloha Airlies then steadily for Hawaiia Air Tour Service See all 8 islandsin oe day $75. Although Uncle Sam taught me my trade originally durig my stint inthe Air Forcemy years with HATSflying most of the day at 50 above the earest volcnoor waterfall taught me to fly. 964 was oe of my better years. Not only was Irecalled to service with Pa Am but I met ad married Peggy in Miamiand we were assignedto our Internal Germa Service based out of Berli. O and off we spent seve yearslivig i Berlin camping all over Europe and hatching two children. We finally settledhere in Novato i 973 ad dot foresee ay further moves. (address 736 Sun aneNovato, CA 94947) I am still with Pan Am, flyig heck captain on the 747, usually tothe Far East or ondon. After 3 years with the Air Force Reserve I have finally retiredas a Coloel but still stay somewhat active counselig youngsters who wish to attend theAir Forc Academy or obtain an Air Force RTC scholarship. I have been a rabid barbershopsinger or 2 years thanks to Frater Robin Harris (55) inspirig so many of us in the

chapter. The Tekes used to be dyamite singers! Are they still? I am quite active in mychurch and have graduated from playing the gutbucket at the chapter house to the guitarand bano at church functions. I have oly a year ago taken up jogging. I absolutelyhate it but it keeps Peggy off my back about how much I eat or drink Of coursethemajority of my free time is given over to raisig our kids, but that is fast taperig off.Our daughter Cami recently started college at age 7ad son Jeff 5,.... might justed up being a Teke legacy. Life has been very good to me ever sice I pledged TKE! .....Youll certainly see the Bell family aroud the house this fall, as we long ago orderedour seaso football tickets. e look forward to seeing you all.
