NUANCE POWERSHARE WORKFLOWS

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Studies can only be exchanged with entities that are listed in the PowerShare ‘Contacts’ list.

Receiving Studies & Importing to PACS

1. Receive studies from an outside contact and push to Philips PACS:

A. Contact entity and request them to ‘Share’ images to Phoenix Children’s Hospital

through PowerShare.

B. When studies arrive, they will display in PowerShare under the ‘Images’ tab.

C. To modify studies (change MRN, etc.) before sending to PCH PACS, select study be

modified by clicking in the upper left check box (shown above) in the study frame. Then

click on ‘Summary/ Edit’ at the lower right of the screen.

D. The screen below will appear to make the necessary changes. Click “Save Changes”

once you’re done

E. To begin upload, insure the check box on top left side of study is selected.

F. Click on ‘Push to Accelerator’ from the list on the right of the screen.

G. Select destination (Philips IPACS OUTSIDE) and Click ‘Send to Accelerator’

H. Study will be sent to destination (Philips IPACS).

Sending Studies Out

2. Send studies to an outside contact:

A. Upload studies to PowerShare folder

Philips PACS: direct send

Locate and select studies that will be sent.

Right click on the exam; From the drop down menu select “Export Via Dicom”

You will get a validation window asking you to confirm, Click “Next”

The destination window will appear; put a check in the box next to Powershare, click next

A confirmation window will appear; If you agree with everything click “Finish”

Study will appear in PowerShare cloud within a few minutes.

Add user to PowerShare as a contact

In order to give a user access to PowerShare so that you may share files do the following:

Click on the “Contacts”

Once the user list is displayed, Click “Add New Contact” to create a new contact

Once in the “Add Contact” page, press the down arrow in the Category box to select contact

type

After selecting category complete name and e-mail field and click on “Search” button;

If the contact is not in the database you will notice an “Invite” button , as shown below. If the

contact is in the database, Powershare will notify you and you can move on to sharing the

image.

An Invite window will appear; Enter a message you want the contact to read, If you want to

give access to upload images click on “allow” option in window. Click the “submit” button to

deliver

You will get the following message once completed:

Once the invite is sent, the contact will get an e-mail. When they respond to this e-mail and

register themselves, You will get the following notice below in your e-mail letting you know

that they are active:

When you get this notification, you can share images with them.

Sharing images on Powershare

Go to the images menu option and click

In the Images window, select the study by clicking the small box next to it. then click on “share

these images”

You will enter the “contacts” window. Select your contact then click on the “share with

contacts” button

Uploading Images to PowerShare

To Upload images go to your home screen and click on the upload images icon:

This will bring you to the upload window. Be sure that “Phoenix Childrens Hospital” is in the “Upload To”

box. Click on the blue “Choose Folder button to select the folder that the images are located to be

uploaded;

Once you have selected the folder, click the upload button

After clicking upload, the image information will display in Powershare before the final upload. Select

the study by checking the box next to it and click the upload button:

Once this is done you will get a confirmation page, informing you that the images were uploaded.
