Being present for the other in all the meaning the word present offers.

Of recognizing oneself in the other and through identification come to respect, openess and care.

Conviviality is the continual alternation between apartness and oneness – a healthy

alternative.



Without balance from wholeness, apartness degrades to utilitarism.

... In which “I” reduces the Other to an object for fulfilling personal interests and goals.

Control prevails.

What is Otherness? It is the capability of recognizing the other as a legitimate other, a complete being, with dignity, rights, and above all, with differences.
