PULSEThe New Nukeproof Pulse Set Yours Racing

The Pulse is the result of two seasons of development input from the riders and mechanics of Team CRC/Nukeproof competing on the DH World Cup circuit a frame built to meet the demands of professional racers on any course with improved and simplified rider tunability.

The evolution of our highly acclaimed Nukeproof Scalp race rig, the Pulse features updated geometry and enhanced design features for a hugely improved ride dynamic, and introduces our new Style Fit adjustable chainstay.

Interchangeable dropout inserts allow you to alter the wheelbase by 10mm depending on the type of track youre riding, your height or riding style (long setting = 445mm, short setting = 435mm). Whatever the conditions, the Pulse can be adapted to excel!

The Heart Of The MatterAt the beating heart of the Pulse is its suspension system, an improved version of Nukeproofs proven three-stage Fallout Linkage offering an instinctive platform thats been fine-tuned to take on the worlds highest, fastest, steepest and most gnarly trails.

Weve refined the linkage which introduces our Teardrop Technology twin links which add lateral stiffness with improved handling and stability during suspension compression resulting in a more stable bike and a smoother suspension feel throughout the stroke of the shock, pushing you to ride on the edge of whats possible. Weve also slimmed down the swingarm significantly, minimising the unsprung weight and improving square-edge bump compliance without compromising strength. Our Split Forge System allows us to utilise the material properties of the frame to improve lateral stiffness and provide a stronger yet lighter yoke while reducing the number of welds, allowing a larger area to disperse any loads and forces applied.

Race-Bred, Test-ProvenBuilt using T6 6061 aluminium with custom triple-butted hydroformed tubing for a perfectly balanced strength to weight combination, the Pulse has been designed with a view to refining and improving all aspects, from tubing and bearings to cable guides and pinch bolts.A slack 63 degree head angle and centrally-positioned shock and linkage system ensure optimum race handling while other features include a true 1.5 head tube, ISCG 05 mounts and a 150mm x 12mm rear axle to keep things stable at the rear.Weve also designed the frame to be easily serviceable, with improved bolt and shock access for home mechanics.

Taking its name from the legendary downhill track at Moneyscalp Wood in Co. Down, the Nukeproof Scalp is our original DH race rig offering 209mm of progressive rear travel via a pull-link driven single-pivot suspension system.Ridden through two tough seasons on the DH World Cup circuit by the riders of Team CRC/Nukeproof, the Scalp is a race-proven speed machine within the reach of all riders.

Built using T6 6061 aluminium with custom triple-butted hydroformed tubing for a perfectly balanced strength to weight combination, the Scalp is a slack and low-slung gravity sled built for the steepest, most technical and most challenging race runs the sport can throw up.Boasting a super-slack 63 degree head angle, 47.12 wheelbase and +17mm BB height (medium size) the Scalp is characterised by its centrally-positioned shock and linkage system to keep the centre of gravity low and handling sweet.Rear hub spacing is standard 150mm while BB shell width is 83mm. The 1.5 headtube can be used in conjunction with the latest generation of Nukeproof headsets to cater for OS 1.5 steerer forks, standard 1 1/8 or tapered steerers.

Progressive PlatformSuspension-wise, the Scalp uses a single-pivot configuration with a unified rear triangle for optimum strength and stiffness. Its pull-link driven Fallout Linkage drives the shock in a three-stage progressive action - progressive throughout, with increasing progression at the beginning and end of the stroke, but a linearly progressive midstroke to avoid any spikes in damping.Huge 40mm diameter main pivot bearings are used with bearings mounted in machined faces in the swingarm to provide maximum spacing and stiffness. Twin dogbones pull, rather than push, the swinglink giving a perfect progression rate and allowing ride height tuning by swapping for different length links.

Developed in close collaboration with Canadian slope-shredder and Nukeproof team rider Jack Fogelquist, the Rook rips up the rule book like Jack rips up the park, bringing trick features straight off the pro circuit and onto a factory frame.

First up weve developed the Rook with a revolutionary new headtube designed to work seamlessly with a hydraulic gyro (detangler) and open up a whole wide world of bar spins, tail whips and all the sick stunts in your trick bag.

The design integrates the gyros bottom cup into the headtube, giving a stack height of just 10mm and keeping bar height low for perfect cockpit tuning and body positioning a sure-fire game-changer for riders intent on attacking the slope.The Rook also offers the ability of running a shifter on the downtube via the optional downtube shifter mount to let you run gears without worrying about tangled cables. Call it a trick shifter, call it a suicide shifter youve been asking for it so here it is.

Slope Or Trail The Choice Is YoursSlope-honed innovations aside, the Rook is designed as a versatile and highly tuneable rig as comfortable on the trails as it is in the park.A custom-hydroformed T6 6061 aluminium tubeset makes for a lightweight agile ride which combines supreme manoeuvrability with big hit durability to take the spills of the slope and the thrills of the trail. Up front is the 44mm 56mm tapered headtube with integrated gyro compatibility which takes a standard 1 1/8 and tapered steerers. A dummy gyro blank is included with the frame as this is an integral part of the frame design; fully operational Gyro is sold separately. The rear features 135mm-spaced dropouts which are designed to take a 12mm thru-axle for maximum precision and big-hit capability.Suspension-wise, 105mm rear travel is delivered via Nukeproofs proven Erosion link design. A low, mildly progressive leverage rate gives a stiff platform for dirt jumping or slopestyle when used with 150+ PSI. However, switch the shock to its minimum compression position and run below 150 PSI and you instantly have a supple, active suspension feel for freeride or trail riding.The geometry of the Rook is optimised for a 110mm travel fork giving a 13 BB height and 69 degree head angle. Running the frame with a 160mm fork raises the BB to 13.75 and slackens the head angle to a trail-taming 66 degrees. Meanwhile chainstays are kept short (420mm) for pumping tight bowls and easy manualling while ISCG mounts come as standard.

WHEELSETS: XD DRIVERThe Nukeproof Generator 27.5 XD Driver factory AM and TR wheelsets deliver all the performance attributes of the Generator family of wheels in a larger-diameter hoop which is designed to be used with the SRAM XD Driver.

Featuring 32-hole Nukeproof Generator hubs cold-forged from 7075-series aluminium and plain-gauge DT Swiss spokes.The 27.5 Generator AM + TR rims are based on the proven Sun Ringl Inferno rims which are 32-hole and is welded for strength. The AM Wheel features a 27mm rim width for All Mountain and Trail riding whereas the TR Wheel features a 25mm rim width for trail and technical XC.

Generator 3 in 1 System (New for 2014)The new Generator 3 in 1 multi-axle system features an adaptable axle with interchangeable end caps allowing one hub body to be used with multiple axle sizes including 135/QR, 12x135mm and 12x142mm without the need to remove bearings.

All of the adaptors come included with the wheelset so one hub can fit all!

The Sam Hill Signature Series Seatpost has been re-designed from the ground up. It features all of the qualities that Nukeproof customers are used to but in a package which is easier to adjust.

Custom 3D forged from 2014-T6 series aluminium for optimum strength, the signature seatpost consists of a one piece shaft and lower clamp section topped with a cold-forged clamp head, with both the upper and lower clamp and rail assemblies CNC-machined in critical stress areas for superior strength and fatigue resistance. The 400mm long shaft is turn finished for quality and features an elliptical internal bore to further increase the strength to weight ratio by removing unnecessary material in key areas without compromising structural integrity.

The Sam Hill Series Signature Saddle has been custom designed from the ground up. Inspired by Sams own motocross saddle, the most obvious feature of the signature saddle is the pleated top cover which is designed to optimise grip in wet and muddy conditions. Made from tough, durable lorica it is tear resistant with Kevlar scuff guards on the outer corners to improve abrasion resistance.

It features a smaller body than any other Nukeproof saddle, measuring in at 255mm x 127mm to maximise clearance and manoeuvrability on the bike. The smaller body, reduced padding and CrN Ti alloy rail compound improve the strength-to-weight ratio. Weighing in at just 234g it is a lightweight contender which packs a heavyweight punch.
