Putting a tarot deck onto the sides of dice is not anew idea. But, unlike many tarot decks out there today,The Numerical Tarot is uniquely suited for such adiametrical arrangement of ideas across sides.

The Numerical Tarot uses balance, symmetry, contrastand consistency to create deck with clearly definedopposites that fit well across sides of dice. In theNumerical Tarot, the Major Trumps are split between

light and dark, as are the suits of the Minors. Two lightsuits, two dark suits insure that a complete vocabularyof human experience is covered.

The four suits, and their corresponding Majors create agrid matrix of ideas that are particularly useful. Withthat in mind, presenting these ideas on the faces of acube seems natural. With one Major and two Minorsthat are light, and one Major and two Minors that aredark, six possibilities emerge for each number ofnumerology, upon which The Numerical Tarot is based.

Opposite concepts situated on opposite sides of acube accentuate the balance, symmetry, contrast andconsistency that is the hallmark of The Numerical Tarotdesign.

Pull them from a bag like Runes. Toss them from acontainer like Yahtzee. Lay them out in a spread. Orpull one a day, just like a regular deck of cards.

2) Score and fold all lines. Be very, very precise!

1) Cut out the shape. Be very, very precise!

The dimensions of these dice and the assembly instructions are based on the use of standard110lb index paper, using .5" double sticky tape and .75" regular clear tape. You can try usingheavier paper, or lighter paper, and glue or glue sticks if you like, results may vary.

3) Use double sticky tape on the square between the two curly wings labeled "Up, Over, Down, In"

6) Use double stickey tape on the very end square, and...

7) ... fold that flap

over and stick it to the top of the two open ended boxes to make one big box.

8) Repeat steps 3 thru 8 for the other side.

11) Use double sticky tape to tape one overlapping flap over the other.

12) Use TWO parallel pieces of double sticky tape on each of the flaps that contain the final artwork, so that they really stick well.

Try to get the tape ALL the way to the edges!

9) Fold the two boxes on either end, in toward each other to make one big square box.

10) Tape the two boxes together at the top, and down the sides, along the seam.

13) Repeat all steps for all NINE dice!

14) Enjoy!

4) Curl the stages of the wings around, one up, one over, one down and one in, and push down on double sticky tape below. Optionally, you might also tape the inside walls of each open ended box together for extra strength, using regular tape.
