So what can Tennis Tots bring to your Nursery?

We specialise in providing tennis -based development to children from 2 to 6 years of age, giving children a head start in life, preparing them for well into their school years and beyond.

Incorporating many of the early years learning goals, the Tennis Tots curriculum provides a unique experience for children to develop physically, socially and emotionally and helps provide an environment to get children ready for a classroom setting and indeed serves the children well into their school years and beyond.

With Tennis Tots providing more body awareness and understanding of the benefits of exercise to both parents and children we can collectively work together to abolish childhood obesity.

Our staff have a wealth of experience in working with young children and possess a huge passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children across the UK.

Nursery Proposal - 2016/17

Tennis Tots is a tennis coaching organization dedicated to giving children the opportunity to experience playing tennis. Born in Yorkshire over 3 years ago (accredited by Kalikids and the British Tennis Coaching Association BTCA), Tennis Tots has recently come to the Surrey Area. The Programme is aimed at children from 2-6 years of age and is split into two stages, Stage 1 (2-4

years) and Stage 2 (4-6 years). Tennis Tots and nurseries share similar aims and ambitions in the provision of children’s well being, and with this in mind Tennis Tots have developed a Nursery programme to inspire more children and parents to lead healthy and active lives.

Plan and provide a programme of activities to give every child a stimulating and fun learning experience. Taking into account the individual needs and interest of the child, these are based on the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Every Child Matters outcomes

Tennis Tots classes provide enormous benefits for both parents and children i.e. increased confidence/ further social skills & more awareness of the benefits of exercise. The classes provide a bonding opportunity for both parent and child which is vital during the early years.

Follow the Early years Foundations Stage from Government guidelines, and also provide a wide range of activities to promote all aspects of learning through play and encouraging independence in preparation for school.

We would like to visit your nursery to offer 2 FREE taster sessions for 10 children from 2-3 years of age and 10 children from 3-4 years of age. The sessions would need to take place indoors with enough space for the children to move around safely as each session aims to engage the children in physical activity for 40 minutes. After the free taster session, we hope you find our nursery programme beneficial and would like to continue the classes on a regular basis to compliment the term time curriculum. Tennis Tots will provide all the equipment on the day and of course we aim to deliver a high standard of teaching to each group. All Tennis Tots staff have up to date DBS checks, first aid certificates, full insurance and attend regular training.
