Aryabhatta International Academy, a novel educational enterprise, aims to fill up the vacuum created due to lack of facilities for quality English Medium education in and around Yadgir district. The school will eventually be affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination under the ICSE / ISC pattern of education which is considered to be the best Education Board in the country today, This will be the first ICSE, ISC syllabus school in Yadgir. Aryabhatta International Academy will cater to the need of the day as a top-notch English-medium higher secondary school that imparts quality all round education to the children of Yadgir and surrounding districts of Karnataka. Today there is a ferment in education. The latest move of transferring learning experiences and outcomes to the learners has necessitated a paradigm shift in the mode of delivering educational transactions. The web era has opened immense possibilities both for the educator and the educand, with ERP and LMS helping both teachers and students alike to empower themselves. Schools are today not so much about knowledge as it is preparing students to live in a fast changing world where access to knowledge and technologies to learn are ubiquitous. The five C’s-- Collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity and choice levels--will be the sure currency of this new kingdom of holistic learning.

The dawn of the 21st century has seen a technological revolution in teaching and learning. Keeping pace with changes is the need of the hour lest we should be swept away by the undercurrents of our own evolutionary appetite. We have no idea of the emerging world after the next ten years, or for that matter, even five years hence. That world the present day toddlers will we entering into is likely to be totally different; still we are supposed to be educating them to enter that world of blogs, wikis, collaborations and critical thinking. We explore the world we live in through the eyes of children. We celebrate diversity and realize that every child is potentially divine, is a miracle, special and unique. We believe that high quality early learning experiences for our 2 to 5 year olds are vital as they lay the foundations for a lifetime’s love for learning.

Our curriculum is based on latest brain research and pedagogy. Bloom’s Taxonomy on learning levels, Howard Gardener’s Theory on artificial intelligence and Neil Fleming’s VARK Theory of learning styles are the main tenets that embody the curriculum at this stage. The most effective steps that are to be employed to receive training are Create, Evaluate, Analyse, Apply, Understand and Remember.

Pre-Primary & PrimaryNursery, Montessori (LKG),

Prep (UKG) and Grades 1 to 4

Association of ideas through interdisciplinary approach, poems, stories, mnemonics, music and rhythm are intensively used in these grades for retention of information. Audio-Visual aids, smart boards, films and film strips stimulate attention and accelerate learning.

MiddleGrades 5 to 8

We instruct the students to take a break between learnings after a few hours of studying since this time is essential to relax the minds of the children. Not only breaks but physical exercise and sound sleep strengthen the ability to retain information. Sleep is very crucial to boost the student’s memory. Sleep helps them to learn new information and pass the information to the long-term memory. Stresses and strains are too common at this stage, parental and peer pressures raising expectancy levels. Relaxation, games/ sports, outward bound school programme and entertainments are extremely useful in overcoming stress related problems.

Asking questions like why, how, what helps in learning concepts well because here the reasoning, thinking and analytical powers are involved.Anything which triggers our mental processors to action helps in learning the concepts faster and better. Performing ArtsUnder the able guidance of talented and resourceful faculties, students are trained in the fields of Music, Dance and Theatre/Dramatics so that they can appreciate fin arts and perform well in competitions at different levels.

PhotographyPhotography will be a part of work experience in our school. In Photography the students will learn the basics of proper clicking and editing. Digital photography will be introduced and children will learn to give special effects to the photographs. The school has well equipped editing software and trained staff for this purpose. A photography club also functions in the school to make the students aware of the finer nuances of professional photography.

Swachh BharatSwachh Bharat” is not about asking students to clean the environment, it includes cleanliness in all aspects and hence, we will ensure that our students maintain cleanliness within their school and home. We will teach them to ensure that they always wash their hands before and after their meal. Regular sessions will be conducted by doctors in our school to children. They would not only highlight the need for hygiene but also teach all simple methods to remain clean and this will make the children more enthusiastic about the need to follow proper health habits.
