Using a 3.75mm hook and Denim, loosely make 99 ch.

Row 1: (RS) Insert hook in 4th ch from hook and work 1tr in each ch across, turn. (97tr) Row 2: Ch4 (count as tr & ch1), *sk next st, 1tr in next st, ch1*, rep from * across, 1tr in the 3rd ch of the tch, turn. (48 1chsps) Row 3: Ch3, work 1tr in each tr and 1chsp across, turn. (97tr) Row 4: Rep row 2. Fasten off. Row 5: With Bordeaux rep row 3, fasten off. Row 6: With Aventurine, ch3, work 1tr in each tr, fasten off and turn. Row 7: With Paris rep row 6, fasten off. Row 8: With Denim, rep row 2. Row 9: Ch4 (count as tr, ch1), *1tr in the next tr, ch1*, rep from * to end, 1tr in last tr, turn. Row 10: Rep row 9. Row 11: Rep row 3. Row 12: Rep row 2. Fold the piece in half width-wise, with wrong sides facing, sew the top edge closed, leaving a 31 cm neck opening. Weave in all loose ends around the neck. Don’t weave away the bottom ends. This can form part of the tassels.

POLO STYLE NECK

With a 4.00mm hook and Denim and with the right side facing, join yarn at the seam. Round 1: Ch1 (doesn’t count as st), work a round of equally spaced dc all around, close with slst. Make sure to end with an EVEN amount of stitches. (Hint: work approx. 2dc’s per row edge) Round 2: Ch4 (count as tr & ch1), *sk next st, 1tr in next tr, ch1*, rep from * across, close with slst in the 3rd ch of the beg ch, turn. (approx. 64 1chsps) Round 3: Ch4 (count as tr & ch1), *sk next chsp, 1tr in next tr, ch1*, rep from * across, close with slst in the 3rd ch of the beg ch, turn. Rep round 3 until the neck measures 15cm, or to personal taste.

FINISH UP

Weave in all remaining loose ends. Cut pieces of yarn (to personal preference) and add tassels on every second row along the bottom edge. (We used 3 strings per tassel)
