The first public installation was in Jeff Jones Town Square in Sandpoint, Idaho. It
opened to the public on September 30, 2016 (Fig. 5). As a pilot install it is for
walkways only [23]. This installation consists of 30 Solar Roadways SR3 panels
covering an area of roughly 150 square feet. The cost of this installation was
roughly $60,000 with the majority of the money coming from a grant from the
Idaho Department of Commerce ($47,134), and a $10,000 grant from the Sandpoint
Urban Renewal Agency [24]. The installation is monitored via a webcam 24/7 that

E-pavement panel A=1m2 made from e-bricks is able to produce power of ca 70W under the standard solar radiation AM1,5. Produced energy is stored in battery and could be used for traffic lights, LED street illumination or LED strips in the pavement.
Conclusion;The solar panel made from e-bricks is more powerful compared to e-panel due to better harvesting of solar light. E-panel light harvesting is about 40% worse due to mesh shading effect.
