What is a tincture?A tincture is a liquid extract made from soaking fresh or

dried herbs in alcohol.

What are the benefits of tinctures?Tinctures have many advantages over pills, capsules, soft gels and even tablets. Unlike pills, tinctures don’t rely on digestion to break them

down. As a result, tinctures are readily absorbed by the body. Another great benefit, tinctures can be stored for long periods of time, even years, without losing the effectiveness of the product.

Can multiple herbal tinctures be given together?Many of our customers give multiple herbal tinctures to their pets everyday. However, we do suggest

Can my pet take herbal products along with Vet prescribed drugs?

Often this does not pose a problem. It is most advisable to contact us (toll free 877-727-8243)before taking Amber Technology products with Vet prescribed drugs.

What is the best way to get my pet to take tinc-tures?

If administering the tinctures straight into the mouth is not an option, try adding peach flavor Propel Fitness Water® or Blue Frost Gatorade®. Not only do dogs love them, these drinks have electrolytes which is great for their bodies.

Why Does Amber Technology Use Alcohol-Based Tinctures?

Alcohol based tinctures extract more of the plant and provide extra concentration of the properties than other methods such as water, vinegar or glycerin. Alcohol does not have the appealing taste of other methods; however it is the most effective way to draw out the properties of the herb. When dealing with sick pets, we believe it is important to use products that are as effective as possible.

Alcohol tinctures also are used to extract and preserve the resins and other soluble material from the

plant. For centuries, tinctures have been used in many sys-tems of integrative medicine. They are safe and effective for people and their pets.

How to remove alcohol from tinctures… For those of you who must or wish to avoid the alcohol,

at the time of consumption the dosage can be placed into hot water (105˚F) and the alcohol will evaporate by the time the water is cool without affecting the quality of the tincture.

Can herbs cause allergic reactions?Reactions to herbal mixes are rare, however it is possible

from time to time your pet may have an adverse reaction to a particular herb. Adverse reactions may include swelling around the neck, eyes, face, coughing, rash, and itching.
