For over 30 years, Dietitians of Canada’s annual Nutrition Month campaign has united thousands of dietitians, students, health care providers, teachers and other stakeholders to promote nourishing foods

and healthy eating habits to Canadians. This strategic, multi-channel campaign leverages traditional media, social media as well as DC member-led activations to optimize the reach and impact of the message. Sponsorship of this campaign supports Canadian dietitians to have a greater impact within their diverse communities and workplaces across the country.

Nutrition Month 2020 will build on the award-winning 2018/19 campaign, “Unlock the Potential of Food”

Nutrition Month 2020: More than food: How you eat is important too! Au delà des aliments: La façon dont vous mangez compte aussi!

This year, dietitians across the country will support Canadians to adopt healthy eating habits, including how to be mindful and to enjoy your food, the importance of eating meals with others and how to cook more often by involving others, of all ages, in the planning and preparation of meals.

By supporting Nutrition Month, your organization will be supporting dietitians to share healthy eating messages with Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

Nutrition Month sponsors have the opportunity to position their organizations as leaders in food and nutrition, committed to healthy eating and to Canadian Dietitians.

Highlights of the Nutrition Month 2019:

• National exposure in traditional media (87 media stories), social media, paid advertising and Dietitians of Canada member-led activities

• Official Sponsor recipes featured in media Nutrition Month media spokespeople showcasing healthy foods doing food/recipe demonstrations and on Cookspiration website and App

Sponsor Policy and Guidelines1

Sponsors – Dietitians of Canada reserves the right to decide which organizations they will engage to be sponsors. The overall aim of the Campaign is to promote healthy eating as described in Canada’s Food

Guide (2019) and supported by the views and evidence-based positions of Dietitians of Canada. Campaign sponsor products/services must contribute to this aim.

Campaign Processes and Products – Dietitians of Canada reserves the right to control the contract process and decide on the public relations firm(s) and consultant(s) best suited to undertake and

participate in various aspects of the campaign work. Dietitians of Canada oversees the campaign processes including theme development and execution, timelines and all campaign materials. Dietitians of Canada provides final editorial approval on all resources produced.

Sponsor Opportunities and Confirmation – Sponsor opportunities are available on a first-come,

first serve basis. Official Sponsors are provided a first right of refusal opportunity based on a prospectus submitted, up until 30 days after it is received. Official Sponsors receive exclusivity in their product/service category.

Sponsor Confirmation – You will be contacted about Sponsor details, including an agreement

confirming your benefits to be signed and returned within 30 days upon receipt and prior to November 30, whichever comes first.

Sponsor Restrictions – Provision of sponsorship by Dietitians of Canada does not constitute endorsement of goods and/or services. Sponsors agree not to imply in any way to a third party that

sponsorship constitutes endorsement of products or services. Neither the Dietitians of Canada name or logo can be used or reproduced without approval and written permission. Official Sponsors have the right to use the official Nutrition Month logo (available in French and English) with permission.

Recipe Submissions – Recipes to be included in Cookspiration App, Cookspiration website and in

campaign resources must:

• meet nutrition criteria provided by Dietitians of Canada • be delivered in English and French, together with a suitable photo of the final

recipe product

• include the nutrient analysis for each recipe • must not include branded product(s) in recipe or photo
