NYETIMBER DORSET SEAFOOD FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SPONSORS FOR 2019

− The UK’s top Seafood Festival celebrates sponsors as the 2019 Festival approaches –

The Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival is set to take place over the weekend of 13th and 14th July, and is only made possible by its fantastic sponsors. The award-winning, free-to-attend event helps to raise money for its benefiting charity ‘The Fishermen’s Mission’, and offers over 100 stalls of seafood, chef demos, children’s activities and delicious English sparkling wine.

As the weather gets warmer and the season begins, organisers at the Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival are excited to announce the 2019 sponsors. With Nyetim-

ber joining as Title Sponsor, this year’s Festival has a distinctly English feel, with vis-itors encouraged to try the local seafood paired with a glass of the finest English sparkling wine. Nyetimber can be found throughout the Festival, but look out for the 1968 Routemaster bus which offers a luxurious, quintessentially British setting from which guests can relax and admire both the harbour and the award-winning beach.

Seafish returns once again, highlighting the importance of a profitable, sustainable and socially responsible seafood industry – a topic close to the hearts of the fishermen, producers and chefs all heading to Weymouth for the Festival. Local brand Weird Fish is back for its milestone 10th year at the Festival! The distinctive brand began just down the road in Poole in 1993 and is well known for its quality casual clothing – designed to become instant feel-good favourites from the minute you put them on!

For those searching for beautiful accommodation for the Festival, look no further than Dream Cottages. This Weymouth-based company has been involved with the Festival since its very first year and showcases the most beautiful holiday properties in the area. In fact, Dream Cottages has 25 properties in the vicinity of the Festival itself.

Another independent Dorset company, Hall & Woodhouse not only brews the award-winning Badger Ales but runs an Estate of over 180 beautiful, high quality

pubs across the South of England. The Ship Inn, situated on Weymouth Harbour, was the first property purchased by Hall & Woodhouse in 1856 and it will be serving food and drinks throughout the Festival. Charity Information — The Fishermen’s MissionThe Fishermen’s Mission is the only fishermen’s charity that provides emergency support alongside practical and emotional care. It helps all fishermen, active or retired, and their families. It does this by:

Offering immediate assistance, day or night, to the families of fishermen who have been killed or seriously injured.

Looking after the survivors of fishing boat accidents. Helping injured or ill fishermen to find medical help. Finding emergency housing and food if necessary. Supporting fishermen’s families in the case of illness, distress or financial diffi-

culties. Alleviating loneliness by visiting retired fishermen and their families at home

or in hospital. Offering welfare and support to overseas fishermen working in the UK fishing

industry, especially those who have to live onboard boats. Providing Christian pastoral and practical help, including problems with debt,

sickness, bereavement, family difficulties and addiction problems.
