AAPT OUTREACH LOOK FOR OUR AAPT BOOTH AT THE 2016
ALCA FALL CONFERENCE on
NOVEMBER 16-17:
This year AAPT will host a booth at the 2016 AL-CA Fall Conference on November 16-17 to promote
play therapy in Alabama! We will distribute information about all types of APT memberships including the new School- Based Registered Play Therapist certification.
AAPT members and students will host our booth. They will be ready and willing to enroll NEW MEMBERS. Our AAPT President, Dr. Celeste Neil will present a session on “Play Therapy in Schools.” There will be a drawing
for a FREE AAPT WORKSHOP on November 17th us-ing the names of the newly enrolled AAPT members at the ALCA Conference. We will have free brochures, AAPT pens and notepads, and other special treats!
So, PLEASE STOP BY, SAY HELLO …and encourage
your colleagues to join AAPT!
IMPORTANT REMINDER!!!
RPT and RPT-S Acronym Conflict In some states the acronym RPT is protected by Physical Thera-pists, and therefore restricts its public display. To see if your state is included, please review the APT website list. YOU WILL FIND THAT ALABAMA IS ONE OF THE STATES THAT RE-
STRICTS THE USE OF THE ACRONYM RPT AND RPT-S. I know it
can be inconvenient, but it is the copyright law and we are re-
quired as professionals to adhere to it.
