Introducing the CR unit for all your general radiography

needs. The CR 900 system provides multiple cassette load-

ing and processing at a central location in your radiology

department. Workflow is decentralized by locating the Kodak

DirectView remote operations panel in the exam

room or a remote location. This allows radi-

ologic technologists to perform almost all

aspects of a patient study without leaving

the exam room, facilitating workflow

and providing an opportunity for better

patient care. Use the remote operations

panel to enter patient and study data, scan

the bar code, and then simply load your cassettes

at the CR 900 unit and return to the exam room

where the panel is located. Here you can QA the

image, make annotations, reprocess it, and route

it to its destination for soft-copy review, printing,

or archiving.

• Approximately 1,000 images are stored on board for rapid referral

• System design prohibits archiving without complete patient data

– Prompt tells user to complete patient data before stored image is archived

• Alerts user when images are undelivered to a network destination

• Images routed automatically to multiple DICOM locations

• No image loss from power failure with standard on-board, uninterruptable power supply (UPS)

• Top-loading system can handle up to 8 exposed and 8 erased cassettes at a time

• Process 63 cassettes per hour*

• Image available for QA review at the Kodak DirectView remote operations panel in less than 70 seconds†

• Perform all data-entry and image-management tasks at the remote operations panel

• Cassette processing can be re - p r i o r i t i zed for S TAT exams

• Designed to work in conjunction with the CR 900, the wall-mounted, in-roomKodak DirectView remote operationspanel allows users to input patient data,QA images within seconds, and routeimages via the network, all at the point of patient care without queuing at themain processing unit

• As many as 10 remote operations panels can be networked to a single CR 900 system

• Network one or more remote operationspanels to as many as five CR 800 or 900 systems

• Patient information entered through thebar-code reader or the touch-screen panel

– Also has the capability to receivepatient information from HIS/RIS

• Images are re v i ewed by the radiographerfor QA at the panel before releasing patient

• Radiographer only has to go to the CR 900system to process the cassette, re d u c i n gamount of time away from patient

• EVP software, designed to provide highcontrast a n d wide latitude, is accessiblefrom the panel when this option is addedto the CR system

With the Kodak DirectView CR 900 system, users not

only improve their workflow, but also boost their

productivity. The following diagram demonstrates the

concept of centralizing CR cassette processing with

the CR 900 and decentralizing workflow through the

location of multiple remote operations panels in exam

rooms or remote locations. With the versatility of the

Kodak Dire c t View CR systems, almost any configuration

is possible—the choice is yours.
