Adele Craft is a current board member, previously

served two years as board president, is a member of the

The Beechwood Home Foundation board and resides on

multiple committees. Marty is currently the first chair

leadership to the group for the benefit of the

Beechwood residents. Mike is a generous benefactor

and has attended numerous events and outings to

support Beechwood.

The three honorees were recognized for their support by David and Sara Osborn, and Patricia Clark, CEO of The Beechwood

This past year at The Beechwood

Home has been a year of change and

opportunity. Some of the changes

made to Medicaid have provided

significant challenges to

Beechwood. However, at the same

time, Scot Harmon joined us as a

full-time Administrator and works

closely with our staff to make sure

that all requirements are met.

The Beechwood Home is no stranger

to recognition, as our facility has

been in the spotlight over the years.

Beechwood continues to have a 5

Star rated Nursing Home status by the Centers of Medicare &

Medicaid Services, and was featured in U.S. News as one of the top

10 Nursing Homes in the State of Ohio.

We are in the process of building a large porch and storage area

which will afford the residents a wonderful space to be outside

without facing the elements. It will also provide much needed

storage for wheelchairs, personal belongings and other necessary

items. Many wonderful people and foundations have donated to this

worthy project.

The Beechwood Young Leaders hosted two successful events in

2017: The Kendra Scott event and Beechwood Bourbon Beer and

Basketball event. The block party was in full swing and a great event

for our residents, their families and friends. The Gala, honoring

Adele Craft, Mike McGraw and Marty Walsh, was a successful

event. One of the highlights of the evening was a presentation from

Beechwood resident, Sally, who presented to the guests what it

means to her to live at Beechwood.

In 2017 we saw the addition of a beautiful salt water aquarium that

was generously donated by the Heidt Family Foundation. Residents,

staff, family and friends all enjoy the serenity it offers.

It has been an honor to serve as President of The Beechwood Home

Board of Trustees for the past two years and I look forward to

continuing my board membership into the future. Bill Baechtold

assumed the president’s position at the January, 2018 board meeting.

He has served on the board for 5 years and has brought his expertise

in the legal profession to Beechwood. His leadership will serve

Beechwood well.

Please welcome Scot Harmon as Administrator

of The Beechwood Home. Scot joined our team

in September of 2017. He is married and has

two children. His last position was at Deaconess

Hospital in a leadership role, where he

specialized in long term care. Scot is a Marine

Corp veteran and was stationed in Charleston,

South Carolina. Scot is a great addition to our

team.

Upon assuming the role of Administrator at

The Beechwood Home on September 5th, 2017,

I was eagerly anticipating joining a dedicated

group of individuals that serve a very special

group of residents. I quickly realized why The

Beechwood Home is known as one of the

premier facilities in the industry after

beginning to work together with the leadership

team members and staff. Collectively, they

work tirelessly on every level to exceed resident

expectations and provide the highest quality of

life for each and every resident. They are the

most dynamic group of people I’ve worked with

in my career and I look forward to working

collaboratively towards enhancing the future of

The Beechwood Home.

The residents and staff welcome Scot

to The Beechwood Home family!
