The Oberlin Folk Music Archive consist of recordings of folk music concerts recorded 1955-2017 in Oberlin, Ohio, primarily at Oberlin College. Transfers sponsored by the Oberlin College Folk Music Club; originals include cassette, DAT, or (primarily) 7- and 19-inch tape reels. In part recordings from the Hoot festival, Hobo Jungle, Oberlin Spring Folkfest, and the Alumni Folk Conference. Performers include: Plum Creek Boys, Pete Seeger, Peggy Seeger, New Lost City Ramblers, Jerry Garcia Band, Windy City Tom, Odetta, Arlo Guthrie, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Tom Paxton, Jorma Kaukonen, Phil Ochs, Joe Hickerson, Ricky Sherover, Neil Rosenberg, Chris Eldridge, Josh Ritter, Stanley Brothers, Highwoods String Band.
A small number of recordings were accompanied by track and artist listings, reproduced in this document, in part with added transcriptions of handwritten notes. A full inventory is available online. Recordings may be used in the library only; an item listing is provided in the record in OBIS, the online catalog of the Oberlin College Libraries.
