Giliberii, 81, husband of Antoinette Tumminelli Giliberti of Starr Ridge Rd., Brewster, died suddenly at the Good Samaritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, Fla. He was born Aug. 10, 1899, in Partana, Sicily, son of the late Joseph and Mary Piazza Giliberti. He had lived in the Brewster area since 1944 and was a winter resident of West Palm Beach since 1956. He was a member of St. Lawrence OToole Church in Brewster and attended St. Ann's Church in West Palm Beach. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Dr. Joseph Giliberti of Rockford, 111., Paul Giliberti of Poughquag, N.Y., and John F. Giliberti of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Marie Troha of Brewster, and 14 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial took place in St. Lawrence OToole Church, Brewster. Burial was in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Brewster. Arrangements were under the direction of the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Terrace, Brewster. FLORENCE BEAL Mrs. Florence L. S. Beal,80, of Tonetta Lake Park, Brewster, widow of W. Ross Beal Sr., died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mallory Stephens of Mount Kisco, N.Y. after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 1, 1900, in Newark, N.J., a daughter of the late William B. and Florence Cox Simms. As a young woman, Mrs. Beal was a model for several artist-illustrators in Westport. She lived in Brewster since 1919. Mrs. Beal served with the American Red Cross for a number of years. During World War II, she was a nurses' aide at Northern Westchester Hospital, and later was a staff assistant for the Putnam County Chapter of the Red Cross. She was also a member of the Blood Donors' Gallon Club. Mrs. Beal was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, Brewster. She was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and St. Andrew's Ladies Auxiliary. Besides her daughter of Mount Kisco, she is survived by a son, William Ross Beal Jr. of Boise, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Neil Blackwood and Mrs. Paul E. Peckham, both of Brewster, a sister, Mrs. Elbert D. White of Scarsdale; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was at St. Andrew's Espiscopal Church, Brewster. The Rev. Basil G. Law, officiated. Burial was in Milltown Rural Cemetery, Brewster. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Andrew's Church, Brewster, or to the Arthritis Foundation, New York Chapter, 221 Park Ave., South New York 10013. UMW planning April meetings The executive committee ot tne United Methodist Women of the First United Methodist Church of Brewster will meet Tuesday, April 21, at 9:15 a.m. UMW members will attend a community UMC in Poughkeep- sie on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cars will leave the church at 9 a.m. and those attending are asked to bring a bible, a pencil and lunch. Notify Barbara Kirk if you wish to attend. Gertrude Hazzard will lead a program on Latin American en- titled "The Cry of My People" at the UMW meeting April 28 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting is open to all. Dawn service At dawn services will take place at 5 a.m. Easter Sunday at Dr. Marshall Hoag's Croton Head Farm atop Quaker Hill in Pawling, the highest point in the area. The service, sponsored by Christ Church on Quaker Hill, will feature music by the Christ Church singers. Dr. Gordon Powell will bring the message on "The Strange Inscription on the Cross." All are welcome to participate. Services set at Croton Falls The Croton Falls Baptist Church will conduct a Maundy Thursday communion service at 8 p.m. in the church, it was announced by the Rev. Edwin F. Weeks, pastor. The Baptist Women will conduct a bake sale April 16 at the Croton Falls Post Office. The sale of cakes, pies, cookies and fudge will start at 9 a.m. Funds will be used for the church kitchen fund. On Easter Sunday there will be a sunrise service at 6 a.m., followed by coffee, juice and rolls at the church parsonage. The Easter worship service will be at 11 a.m. with Pastor Weeks preaching on "I am; Then, Now, Forever." April 26 will be Baptist Women's Sunday at the Croton Falls Church. Social in Garrison The Ladies Auxiliary of the Garrison Fire Co. will sponsor a penny social May 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the firehouse. Beginning on Holy Thursday, April 16, services will be held at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The sacrament of holy communion will be celebrated at-troth services in remembrance of the night so many years ago when Jesus first instituted the Last Supper. At the conclusion of the 8 p.m. service, the altar will be-stripped of all adornments in preparation for Good Friday. On Good Friday, April 17, a service with a special liturgy w^' be celebrated at 8 p.m. The joyous news of Jesus' Resurrection will be proclaimed to the worshippers at a sunrise holy communion service at 6:30 Widows meeting The Widows and Widowers Group will meet Sunday, April 26, at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Rte. 6, between Carmel and Brewster. The meeting will be from 2 to 5 p.m. a.m. on faster morning, April 19. This will be followed by a special family worship service at 9 a.m. There will also be a service with holy communion at 11 a.m. 1 Trinity Lutheran Church invites all its friends and neighbors in the communities it serves to join in worshipping during this most holy of weeks. Easter services A Maundy Thursday service of holy communion will be conduct- ed by the First United Methodist Church of Brewster. The special service will be at 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. An ecumenical union Good "riday service will take place at 12 noon in the Brewster Presbyt- erian Church. The Methodist Youth Fellow- ship will sponsor the sunrise service Easter Sunday at 6:30 a.m. in the field next to the Putnam County Savings Bank at Drewville Rd. and Rte. 6, Brewster. A breakfast will be served in the Methodist Church immediately following the service. In the event of rain, the sunrise service will be in the church. There will be no church school Easter Sunday.
