• Parent communication is a vital aspect of growing as a school and community. Parents should be notified when their child is performing well and behaving as expected, and not only when they have performed poorly on a test or violated a school rule.

Botetourt Community

• Botetourt is a rural county with two high schools, Lord Botetourt and James River

• The community is very much involved and has a tremendous amount of supportive parents

• Many local business also give back to the school system
