Ain’t no rapper nastier than Plies. Degrading, insensitive, rude, reckless, but damn, we love every minute of it.

With his talk of strip clubs, loose women, and his love for “Becky”, com-bined with those head-banging beats and his Fort Myers swagger –everything that this caramel goon says is as good as the gold on his teeth.

Plies has done something that no other rapper has ever done before, The rapper/ writer has figured out the perfect combi-nation of street smarts, sexual innuen-dos and sensitivity to keep his male and female fans coming back for more. He has garnered the support of the thugs in the trap house with songs like “Bricks on Me” and “Goons Lurkin”, the teenagers in the mall with “Awesome” and “Shawty”, and with love songs like “Medicine,” and “Bust It Baby,” he has won the heart of every female.

Plies, born AIgernod Lanier Washington, is a Fort Myers native. After dropping out of the University of Central Florida, he founded Big Gates Records with his brother. He didn’t embrace his rapping talents at first, but at the request of his brother, he was featured on the track “Tell Dem Krackers That”– after that, Plies burst onto the music scene and hasn’t looked back since.

Since then he has released four albums, “The Real Testament”, “Definition of Real”, “Da REAList” and “Goon Affiliated.” All with chart-topping singles that speak to the hearts and the minds of anyone whose been in the streets.

Plies exposed us to real rap, and now we hate the other lames. But his empha-sis on real has a lot less to do with his list of criminal activities, and more with the passion that he expresses in his music.

He bears his soul on each track— which makes each song so easy to relate to. Tracks such as “100 years,” “Bid Long,” and “Family Straight” are all hood tales that anyone who has ever lost someone to the streets can relate to. His irresponsibility

in regards to guns, violence, and sex is refreshing. One song can speak about the tribulations of gang life, loosing a loved one, and then in the next verse he’s think-ing about getting in between the legs of the next female.

What the females like about Plies is that he has no problem spoiling his women with shopping sprees, diamonds, and trips across the world… as long as they put out. And that’s one of the reasons we can’t get enough of this gritty rapper. As he shows in his song “She Got it Made.” he explains that if a woman looks good, she can get anything she wants. “I’ma spoil you everyday, and have you living on the water. If you living with me, you ain’t got to spend a quarter.”

If freakiness is the game, then Plies is the master. He has made a name for him-self in the world of sexual rap. His sexu-ally grotesque lyrics have been featured on “Daddy’s Home” with Usher, and “Headboard” with Hurricane Chris and Mario. We’re all waiting for Plies next single— the thugs need something to bop to and the ladies need something to drip to. And Plies is the only rapper that can do it all.

Politics is a dirty business and when you decide to run for

office you must have thick skin. Your opposition will make up stories, amplify situations, and talk about your family, even if it is the truth or a fabrication. Nothing is off limits, therefore it is important to stay focused, grounded and secure.

President Obama through his election and the past 20 months, he has remained anchored and steadfast. In his hundreds of speeches and remarks, he has always responded to his opposition and critics with kind words. There were a few times that he was visibly angered or frus-trated with his opponent, but he always took the high road.

But at a Labor Day rally in Milwaukee, the president strayed from his prepared remarks, which is very unusual for him to do. He took a more aggressive tone and used a metaphor or a figure of speech to get a point across.

“Some powerful interest who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and they’re not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. That is not in my prepared remarks, but it’s true,” he told the union crowd.

With the Tea Party and Republican Party favored to win back seats in Congress in both houses, many think that it is time for the president to get more aggressive and start swinging with both fists. Some want the presi-dent to get in the dirt and the mud and tell the American people what he really thinks about the Tea Party and the Republican Party.

It is obvious at the speech in Milwaukee, President Obama was speaking to a friendly crowd and he got relaxed and in the heat of the moment, he said some things that were out of character. Nevertheless, the Democrats are acknowledging that the bipartisan Obama needs to be shelved at this point during the final run for the midterm elections.

As the leader of the Democratic Party, President Obama has not done a good job marketing his accom-plishments for the first 20 months he has been in office. President Obama is losing the support of many indepen-dents, and many of the Democrats in his own party. The Republicans and the Tea Party are using a bitterly divided country to their advantage.

As the president’s poll numbers have fallen, the right is well financed by global corporations, the insurance indus-try, and leaders such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. Theses companies and their leaders create drama and tell Americans that President Obama was not born in this

country and he is bankrupting our country.

In the next fifty days President Obama must begin to set the

record straight for his party and our country. Americans are impatient and they expected change to happen over-night, but their expectations are unrealistic and unachiev-able. Many have forgotten the state of the country when the Obama administration came into power.

The president has been able to get a diluted healthcare bill passed that will soon stop the free fall of the system. The president was able to get a bill to improve insur-ance for poor children passed, and stop the free fall of the economy and the housing industry. The president has helped restore America’s image and credibility around the world.

The Obama Administration and President Obama must continue to move forward with their agenda and initia-tives. There will be times when president Obama makes mistakes and goes off track. When President Obama strayed from his prepared remarks, there was a slip of the tongue, when he said, “They talk about me like a dog.”

Humor and patience will continue to get President Obama through but he is not getting paid for his comedy, even though the statement was funny.

I waited seven months for foot-ball season to start

again. Now that it is here again I feel like it’s passing so quick-ly. I can’t believe that two weeks has already elapsed. How did your team do in the first two weeks? In week one my team, the Patriots, looked good. Tom Brady played like he did pre-

surgery when the Patriots beat the Bengals. However in week two they lost to the Jets. I haven’t seen my team play like that in a very long time. That game he played more like the recovering Brady of last season. It was the first time in his career that he threw six incompletions in a row. I am a true fan though so I’m not discouraged after just one loss.

Lions fans shouldn’t be discouraged either. Even though your team probably doesn’t remember what a win really feels like there is still hope, and if all else fails blame the refs. It is the referee’s fault that the Lion’s lost their season opener to the Bears. Cal-vin Johnson caught a pass from Shaun Hill with 31 seconds left in the game for what would have been the game winning touchdown. The refs ruled it in-

complete because when Johnson stood up to celebrate he dropped the ball. It was clearly a touchdown and the Lions players and fans were robbed. Sorry guys better luck next time.

Some teams didn’t have much luck at all, like the Cowboys who start

off 0-2 as well as the Vikings. When Brett Favre chose to come back for another sea-son he probably wasn’t thinking that they would lose their first two. On opening night against the Saints Favre set an NFL record with his 286th consecutive start. His spot in the Hall of Fame is waiting for him. Maybe it’s time he retire and claims that spot. I think he is holding on not just for the love of the sport but maybe because out of sight is out of mind. I hope that’s not the case because how can anyone forget Brett Favre.

Kevin Durant won’t be forgotten either. While he and the rest of the United States World Champion Basketball team were in Turkey for the finals Durant made a good impression among the Turkish people. Word on the street is that Kevin is not only a great player but a good person as well. At the young age of 21 he knows what giving back is really about, not about making yourself look good but about mak-ing someone else feel good. Congrats to him on his World Champion MVP award.

While I’m congratulating folks shout out to Tom Brady with his $72 Million contract extension. I can’t forget to congratulate in advance whoever, if anyone, they give Reggie Bush’s forfeited Heisman Trophy too. It sucks that he had to do it, but it was the right thing.

ment. Several players and coaches were accused of sexually harassing a female reporter. They need timeout because they are professional athletes who were acting like inmates that haven’t seen a woman in years. You gotta do better!
