QUALIFIED OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I have grown up wanting to help and make a difference to peoples lives so they can live their life to the fullest. I became inspired to become an Occupational Therapist as my late Grandmother practiced as an OT and I want to follow in her footsteps.

SNOWBOARDER/SKIER

I have always loved an adventure and love trying new things. I have been skiing for a few years now and learnt to snowboard last season in Queenstown. To me there is nothing better than to pack my gear and get on the slopes to embrace winter!

TRAVELLER

This photo represents the place I want to visit most in my future which is Bohemia-Czech Republic. This is where my Fathers side is from. It will be an amazing experience and opportunity to get to know myself better and to get a broader view of my background where my ancestors have come from.

HAVE A FAMILY AND BECOME A MOTHER

This is a photo of my Mum which represents how one day I want to create a family with someone I love and become a caring, supportive, loving Mum like she is. Coming from a family with 8 brothers and 4 sisters, family is extremely important to me, without them I would not be where I am today.

FARM GIRL

This is a photo of our farm in Thames. I grew up on a sheep and beef farm and now my parents own a dairy farm. Growing up I had all sorts of hobbies and occupation. Even though I now live in town, my parents farm is where I belong most. Having the opportunity to be surrounded by lush green hills and animals is something I cherish. One day I would like to own my own land. They say you can take girl off the farm, but never the farm out of the girl!

HORSE RIDER

Part of my occupational identity is being a horse rider. This photo is Bell one of the 6 horses I grew up riding. I have been riding since the age of 6 and still continuing to do so. It is a occupation of mine I enjoy very much.

This photo represents scuber diving. At the age of 17 I got my dive ticket, this is something I use to do a lot but not so much now days. It is an unreal experience which I absolutely recommend.

SURFER

In the future, I am going to attempt to learn to surf. Surfing has always captured my attention but I was always happy to sit back and watch others. Participating in this as an occupation will give me a challenge which will be very rewarding.

EXERCISE

Exercise is a leisure activity for me which I enjoy, from going to the gym, walking, biking, and running. Exercising is a way of trying out new things and understanding what I may/may not be good at. It also helps me clear my head and is a great stress release.
