OCEANER

The Canadian Pacific coast with its jagged

walls and rugged underwater terrain has

not only been our playground, but our test

ground for developing exceptional Wetsuits

and Drysuits. In a chilly environment where

swirling currents whip around rocky corners

and steep walls leadto deep sea adventures,

Oceaner builds suits to withstand the

challenges of the Pacific Northwest.

Beginning in 1977 as a popular westcoast

Diving charter company, Oceaner Wetsuits

and Drysuits were first born from the

experiences gained in Pacific Northwest

waters. The rugged suit features, initially

popular at a local level, have now grown

in demand throughout North America.

Despite its international success, Oceaner

understands that the heart of diving lies at

the community level. Not only providing

an exceptional line of diving products, but

by also being involved in the protection

of marine life and the health of North

American waters.

Oceaner Wetsuit and Drysuits are built

for performance, comfort and quality with

a limited lifetime workmanship warranty.

Oceaner continues to create high quality

products at reasonable prices.

So go on and explore the wrecks of the

Great Lakes, ride the whitecaps off the

Atlantic Coast and enjoy the clear blue

Tropical waters with confidence in an

Oceaner suit. At Oceaner, we have proven

that if our wetsuits and drysuits survive

our waters, they will undoubtedly thrive

in yours.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Quality, Quality, Quality...

Today’s marketplace is flooded with

wetsuit and drysuit manufacturers,

making it confusing and sometimes

difficult to choose the right product.

In addition to our unique designs and

knowledgeable staff, it is Oceaner’s

dedication to quality that makes

the difference.

At Oceaner quality comes in the form of

materials, manufacturing techniques,

extra details, and of course, workmanship.

Take a close look and compare...

7MM WETSUITS

A wetsuit is a heat-conserving garment

which functions by trapping a layer of water

between your body and the wetsuit. The

trapped water is warmed by body heat.

Further heat loss is limited by water

exchange in the wetsuit. A comfortable and

properly designed wetsuit with superior

materials will ensure this comfort.

MATERIALS AND

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

All Oceaner 7mm Cold Water Wetsuits are

individually handcrafted by dedicated

specialists who strive to produce the

finest wetsuits available. They are built to

rigid standards and feature our limited

lifetime workmanship warranty.

Oceaner Neoprene®, (wetsuit base material)

is tested and specifically selected for its

outstanding heat retention properties,

ultraviolet inhibitors, flexibility, and durabili-

ty. All seams are glued and double blind

stitched. Only the strongest nylon thread

available is used. All critical stress points

are bar tacked, (a multidirectional cross

seam stich,) for increased durability.

Neoprene® edges are finished with Lycra®

binding for strength, stretch and appear-

ance. Corrosion-proof zippers and pull tabs

ensure a long life for all wetsuit products.

Ankle zippers and a spine pad are standard

on all 7mm wetsuits.

Wetsuit jackets feature a “raglan cut” for

maximum comfort and fit. Each arm is

contoured at the shoulder and elbow.

Kneepads are standard on all wetsuits

and all zippers are backed with an internal

zipper flap for increased warmth.

TITANIUM ALPHA®

Two thin layers of "Titanium Alpha®" are

laminated between the neoprene® and the

fabric linings of the wetsuit. Each layer of

“Titanium Alpha®” reflects the heat back

towards the body. The advantage is

increased warmth, with less body energy

expended. The Black Shadow and Raging

Inferno are produced with this technical

material.

SIZING AND CUSTOM TAILORING

Each wetsuit is anatomically designed to

hug every curve of your body, providing

a “Tailored Fit,” right off the rack. Men’s

and women’s wetsuits each come in eight

stock sizes. If an exact fit is desired,

custom tailoring offers uncompromised

warmth and comfort. Oceaner’s Modified

Colour Program allows you to personally

design any wetsuit with with your own

unique colour combination.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT

7MM WETSUIT

Oceaner takes wetsuit manufacturing

seriously, and you should take the same

approach when purchasing a cold water

wetsuit. Think about what your require-

ments are before you purchase.

Where will you be diving?

- Cold water, warm water.

How much diving will you do?

- Every weekend, diving vacations.

What type of diving will you do?

- Recreational, wreck, deep, photography.

Try on different models and sizes, and

choose the wetsuit that not only feels

best, but also provides you with all the

necessary features.

SAN JUANIt’s All You Need!

This affordable wetsuit is all a diver needs to

begin exploring the underwater world. Built

with the same attention to detail as all

Oceaner products. The jacket and farmer

john complete with spine pad, knee pads and

ankle zippers will provide many years of

diving enjoyment.

GALIANOA Variation on a Classic!

This wetsuit combines all the classic

features of the San Juan, but in a one

piece design to reduce bulk and provide

a better fit. Combining the Galiano with

the Galiano Tunic creates exceptional

warmth and good value for new divers!

GALIANO TUNIC

Add the 7mm Galiano Tunic for an extra

layer of protection which acts to restrict

water circulation and reduce heat loss.

The one-piece Galiano and Tunic offers you

great flexibility by wearing the suit three

different ways: wear the one-piece alone

in moderate to cold waters, add the Tunic

for cold water dives, or wear the Tunic for

warm water adventures.

BLACK SHADOWFor the Adventure Seeker!

The Black Shadow is a sleek one-piece

Titanium wetsuit designed for cold water

adventures. To promote additional warmth,

we’ve included a neckseal “Dickie” to inhibit

water from entering the collar. The Black

Shadow Tunic, used in conjunction with the

Black Shadow, affords greater insulation

and restricts water flow in the underarm

and crotch area.

“SCS” Titanium Arms.

All Black Shadow and Raging Inferno wet-

suits feature "SCS Titanium Alpha®"

smooth skin arms with wrist zippers. This

slippery soft inside lining allows your arms

to slide into the wetsuit. Your arms are

now sealed to incoming water maintaining

the warmest temperature possible. Deluxe

spine pads are also standard features filling

“hollow” areas of your back and reducing

water flow.

TITANIUM 3MM VESTS

Oceaner Titanium Vests provide additional

insulation and warmth for wearing under any

thickness of wetsuit. The optional attached

hood provides additional protection. Divers

can easily upgrade to “Titanium type” warmth

without a new wetsuit purchase.

RAGING INFERNOThe Name Says It All!

Your present wetsuit just does not keep you

warm enough? Say hello to the Raging

Inferno and say goodbye to diving cold. The

Raging Inferno combines “Titanium Alpha®”

neoprene® with numerous warmth saving

features and manufacturing techniques

making it Oceaner’s warmest cold water

wetsuit. The attached hood eliminates the

rush of cold water down the back of your

neck, while the cold water velcro® neck

closure limits the water entering the front

of the suit.

DRYSUITS

Drysuits trap a layer of air, not water,

between you and the suit. Your body heats

this air and in conjunction with the drysuit

acts as an insulator. Frigid water condi-

tions, cold surface temperatures, repetitive

diving, and extended periods of time

underwater all complement drysuit diving.

It is the answer to warm and comfortable

diving, and an extended diving season.

Oceaner Drysuits make use of waterproof

fabrics. Water tight seals surround your

neck and wrists, boots attached to the

drysuit and a waterproof zipper across

the back of the shoulders keeps the suit

TOTALLY dry. The shoulder zipper allows you

to slide in and out of the drysuit with ease,

while maintaining a water tight seal.

MATERIALS AND

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

Each Oceaner Drysuit is individually hand-

crafted by dedicated specialists who strive

to produce the finest drysuits available.

Drysuits are built to rigid standards and

feature a limited lifetime workmanship

warranty. All materials are tested to meet

specific standards that ensure the ulti-

mate in durability and thermal protection.

A very technical glueing and stitching

process has been developed to create

strong water tight seams. Heavy duty

drysuit zippers are used on each and every

model. Only the finest materials are used

for neck and wrist seals to withstand

stretching and repetitive use. Critical

stress points are bar tacked for increased

durability. All internal seams are taped using

heat and pressure to ensure long and

waterproof seam life.

DRYSUIT BOOTS

Oceaner’s drysuit boot is designed and

manufactured using a durable vulcanized

rubber baked onto a neoprene® boot.

Standard on all Oceaner Drysuits, these

boots provide maximum protection and

long life.

DRYSUIT VALVES

Inflate and adjustable exhaust valves help

control the buoyancy and maintain warmth

in your Oceaner Drysuit. As standard equip-

ment installed on all Oceaner Drysuits,

these low profile valves offer a smooth rate

of air flow in and out of the suit. Proper

training in the use of a drysuit from your

local diving retailer is recommended.

SIZING AND CUSTOM TAILORING

Each Oceaner Drysuit is anatomically

designed to follow every curve of your body,

providing a “Tailored Fit,” right off the rack.

Oceaner Drysuits come in eight unisex

stock sizes. If a more exact fit is desired,

all Oceaner Dryuits can be custom tailored,

for uncompromised warmth and comfort.

Oceaner’s Modified Colour Program allows

you to personally design the your drysuit

with your own unique colour combination

and optional features.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT DRYSUIT

As with wetsuits, Oceaner takes drysuit

manufacturing very seriously. It is equally

important for you to determine your diving

needs before purchasing a drysuit. Do you

dive in areas where cold water and surface

temperatures prevail?

Do you spend time underwater motionless?

(UW Photography, scientific work, etc.)

Do you get cold easily?

Different models provide different features.

- Decide what is best for you.

HORIZONA Casual Sport Divers Best Friend!

The Horizon is specially designed for the

recreational diver. It is all a diver needs to

be on the way to “DRY” diving. Dive school

and rental operators choose the Horizon

because of its flexible nature and

dependable performance.

TITANIUM POLARCombine the warmth of Titanium Alpha®,

a durable heavy weave external coating

and a flexible fit similar to the Horizon,

to make this the perfect cold water

suit for the diving enthusiast. Features

and construction are similar to the

Oceaner Polar.

Add the “Extreme Package”* to make a

suit that has everything.

POLAR...Superior Performance with Style!

Chief among the drysuit family, the Polar is

designed for the diver seeking the ultimate

in performance, comfort and quality.

Commercial grade construction combined

with stylish body, leg and arm colour

accents, make this drysuit extremely

durable, yet great looking. Large vulcanized

kneepads, strobel stitching, cold water neck

collar, internal zipper flap, and taped inner

seams combine to provide you with hun-

dreds of trouble-free dives.

COMMERCIALPOLARFor Extensive Use and Above Average Abuse!

The Commercial Polar is designed to meet

the highest standards set by commercial

and navy divers, offering outstanding

performance and unsurpassed durability.

This suit is made entirely from Rubatex®

G-231-N neoprene®, (recognized as one of

the world’s finest neoprenes). The heavy

weave external coating, strobel stitched

and taped seams makes this the preferred

suit for the rigorous demands placed on it.

Add the security of commercial grade

vulcanized kneepads, cold water neck collar,

internal and external zipper flap and

you have one tough drysuit.

DRYSUITS

RIPTIDE POLARHigh density 3mm neoprene®, and an

abrasion resistant outer coating coupled

with the features of our Commercial Polar

make the RipTide a suit comparable to any

non-compressible drysuit available. It is

built for strength and comfort without the

bulk of the 7mm drysuits. The high density

quality of the suit does not compress at

depth thereby maintaining optimum

thermal protection.

DRYSUIT UNDERSUITS

A drysuit’s warmth will vary according to

your individual metabolism, the ambient

water temperature and the garments that

you wear underneath the drysuit. Oceaner

cannot influence your metabolism or the

water temperatures that you dive in,

but we can provide you with proper

insulation! We use two different materials

for our undersuits.

MATERIALS AND

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

Oceaner Drysuit Fleece Undersuit is

manufactured from a synthetic fabric

called polyester fleece. It insulates, repels

moisture, stretches, and maintains its

shape with wear. Fleece is similar to wool in

thermal properties yet is lighter and less

bulky. Moisture is “wicked” away from your

body keeping you dry. All seams are overlock

stitched.

Polar Bear Thinsulate® Undersuit is the

ultimate in high tech insulation. A unique

combination of 40oz. nylon outer shell,

150 gm. Thinsulate® insulation and high

wind stop “K-2” inner lining is quilted

together to minimize bulk and offer a high

degree of insulation and comfort.

SIZING AND CUSTOM TAILORING

Oceaner Drysuit Underwear comes in eight

unisex stock sizes.

POLAR BEAR

Full Coverage Warmth!

The Polar Bear full one piece comes complete

with pockets and a double pull tab zipper for

pre and post dive convenience. Elasticized

foot stirrups are attached to the bottom

of the legs ensuring that they do not ride up

when you are donning your drysuit. This

undersuit is designed for use under any

Polar Neoprene Drysuit. The Polar Bear is

equally as functional worn on its own,

keeping you nice and warm in between dives.

OCEANER FLEECE VEST

The perfect addition to complement your

Polar Bear Undersuit for extrawarmth. It

can be worn before, during and after your

dive or watersport activity.

OCEANERFLEECE TOQUE

Warm and dry is the feeling you get

after wearing our after dive, cold

weather toque.

3MM WETSUITS

Oceaner has designed a 3mm wetsuit

product line with an emphasis on versatility

and quality. Most people today are involved

in a variety of watersport activities such as

scuba diving, snorkelling, surfing, jet skiing,

waterskiing, windsurfing, padding and

triathlon. Athletes and enthusiasts from

these various watersport activities were

instrumental in assisting us develop our

programs.

MATERIALS AND

MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUES

Attention to detail and quality can be seen

in every aspect of Oceaner’s 3mm Wetsuits.

All materials used conform to strict quality

controls. Our limited lifetime workmanship

warranty ensures your maximum enjoyment.

The full one-piece wetsuits, jackets and

shorties feature a “raglan cut” for comfort

and fit. Each arm is contoured at the elbow

and shoulder. The arm holes on the

johns/janes are cut extra large, providing

unrestricted freedom of motion. The

shortie wetsuit’s leg length lies just above

the knee, giving the thigh optimum warmth

and support. All long leg suit models include

kneepads and ankle zippers.

A super strong mauser tape stitch is used

on our watersports wetsuits. This stitch

consists of an elasticized fabric tape laid

over glued seams. Six individual threads are

sewn side by side and interlocked, attaching

the tape to the neoprene®. The result is a

flat seam that is exceptionally comfortable

and strong.

SIZING AND CUSTOM TAILORING

Each wetsuit is anatomically designed to

hug every curve of your body, providing a

“Tailored Fit,” right off the rack Men’s and

women’s wetsuits each come in eight stock

sizes. If an exact fit is desired, wetsuits in

the 3mm Watersport Program can be

custom tailored for uncompromised warmth

and comfort. Oceaner’s Modified Colour

Program allows you to personally design any

wetsuit with your own unique colour combi-

nation or optional features.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT

3MM WETSUIT

Like all wetsuits, choosing the right style

can be challenging. It is very important

to determine your requirements before

purchasing a 3mm wetsuit.

In what watersports will you be

participating?

Which of these watersports are most

important?

What time of year and in what water

temperatures?

How often will the suit be used?
