The first part of the sale is a private collection from a London townhouse at Wilton Crescent, Belgravia

which was assembled by a Distinguished Physician and will be sold for the benefit of a charity. This

sophisticated collection which represents a lifetime of connoisseurship contains old master paintings, early

silver, furniture, sculpture, works of art, books and jewellery, each piece carefully selected for its rarity or

beauty. One of the highlights of this collection is a rare late 16 th century Nottingham alabaster depicting

the resurrection (estimate: 10,000-15,000), and amongst the variety of further items featured is a

charming Regency Gothic octagonal tortoiseshell tea caddy dating from circa1810-20 (estimate: 3,000-

5,000) and a pair of emerald and diamond ear clips (estimate: 3,000-5,000).

    Avenue Road, Regents Park

The second section of the sale will feature an exciting and glamorous collection from a villa on Avenue

Road, Regents Park. The items on offer include nineteenth century paintings, sculpture, clocks, furniture,

and decorative objects, as well as an extensive section of lighting. Two notable highlights are a striking

Venetian blackamoor console table (estimate: 20,000-40,000), and Venetian blackamoor mirror, both

dating to the second half of the 19th century (estimate: 10,000-15,000) both illustrated above left. A broadrange of affordable items include a Louis XVI style parcel-gilt and green painted mirror (estimate: 400-

600), and four glazed terracotta models of a bulldog and three pug-dogs, late 19th century (estimate:
