Our Shul will recognize this by encouraging not yet observant Jews to experience Shabbos in our Shul. We will have members speak at different venues in Shul on Shabbos morning explaining the challenges they faced in keeping the Shabbos and subsequent satisfaction they presently have from keeping this beautiful Mitzvah. The Shul will have a grand kiddush luncheon in celebration in honor of those that presently keep this Mitzvah. We need people to sponsor this Kiddush. Sponsorship begins at $50, Silver sponsorship at $180, and Platinum sponsorship at $400. Sponsors of $180 and up will get reserved seating for 5 people at the luncheon. Please let the office know your level of participation no later than by Monday morning October 23. EXPANSION UPDATE: We are pleased to inform you that the HVAC is fully operational in the expanded area. You will also notice that the lounge has been beautifully refurnished. The carpets in the lounge have been thoroughly steam cleaned. We would like the lounge to stay beautiful for many years. Therefore, we ask everyone who partakes in the Shabbos Kiddush to only eat in the Shul area, and to not bring food or drinks into the lounge. We certainly welcome people to socialize in the lounge during the kiddush. We also ask parents with little children to please SUPERVISE them should they wish to have them eat in the Shul, and to keep them out of the lounge at all times. We do have rooms that are specially designated for your children and encourage you to have them stay in the rooms, that are age appropriate for them. AVOS U’BONIM MINYAN (FATHERS & CHILDREN): The Avos U’banim minyan begins Friday night services this week. The smooth paced Minyan will start at candle lighting and will run for approximately 45 - 50 minutes. This is in addition to their very successful Shabbos morning service, where the fathers supervise their sons / daughters, enabling their wives to enjoy the davening in the Main Shul Minyan or Sfardi Minyan, or the alternative classes. The children can also take a break and play in the youth room which is adjacent to the services in the Moriah Room.
