Safety is our #1 Priority

• From 2012-2016, we invested$5.18 billion to help us maintain the integrity and reliability of our pipeline systems
• We monitor our lines 24/7/365 using both people and computerized analysis
• We inspect our pipelines on a regular schedule. In 2015, we completed roughly 275 in-line inspections
• We held more than 500 emergency response exercises, drills and equipment deployments in 2015
Above all else, we are always working to ensure the safety of our people, neighbors and the environment
Safety Moment – Distracted Driving
• The number-one risk on Canadian roads
• Contributes to 8 of every 10 collisions
• A majority of Canadians admit to some form of distracted driving:
o 87% eating and drinking
o 71% adjusting the radio/iPod
o 47% using a cellphone
o 35% texting while driving

Integrated Energy System

All forms of energy sources will be needed
to meet people’s needs as we shift to a low-
carbon economy – oil, natural gas, and
renewable power.
Global energy consumption is expected to
grow in the range of 30 – 40 percent by
2040.
At Enbridge, we’re leading
the way.
This means leveraging all of our company’s
assets – pipelines, wind turbines and natural
gas processing facilities.
Renewables Investments
10
Enbridge is the second
largest wind and solar
power producer
in Canada, with a growing
renewables presence in the
U.S. and Europe.
Since 2002, we’ve committed
a total of $7.8 billion in
renewable energy and
transmission projects that
supply energy to more than
one million homes.
European Offshore Wind
11
In the past two years, Enbridge
has invested more than $2.7
billion in the European Offshore
wind market.
All Forms of Energy
12
Growing our natural gas business, as it is a large part of the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Working to make our liquids business more efficient and sustainable by leveraging and leading advancements in technology.
Helping our gas distribution customers save money and energy through efficiency programs.
• Phased approach will ensure
effective management of logistics,
cost and schedule
• Canadian part of the project has
been divided into nine spreads –
construction begin in August on the
first three (Alberta and parts of
Sask)
• Each spread will take
approximately 2 years to complete
with crews of 600-800 persons
• In 2018, we plan to begin the
remaining spreads in Canada
Line 3 Replacement Program
Why Replace Line 3?
• Maintain and improve safety and
reliability
• Restore operating conditions to original
approved design
• Reduce frequency and magnitude of
the ongoing maintenance activities that
would otherwise be required
• Restore capacity to meet shippers’
transportation requirements
• Better serve current and future energy
requirements of the general public
Preventative Maintenance Digs
– We carefully examine the pipes exterior and make any repairs that are required
– ~50% of all digs do not require maintenance

Line 3 Community Engagement
June 2017 Open house in Outlook, Saskatchewan
o Strong values guide the way
we make decisions and
conduct our business each and
every day.
o We believe in open and
transparent consultation about
our projects with communities.
o We engage our neighbors in
clear, honest, and respectful
communication, and we value
partnership-based approaches
in the communities where we
do business.
Community Engagement Outcomes
Like the project itself, the L3RP engagement
effort is the largest in our history
In four years, we’ve recorded approximately
20,000 direct and indirect engagements with
stakeholders
We have obtained agreements from 100% of
the private landowners along the Line 3 right-
of-way in Canada
Engaged 150+ Indigenous communities from
as far as 300 km from the pipeline right of way
Line 3 – Indigenous Inclusion
Indigenous participation is an important
component of our pipeline projects
More than $50 million in contracting
and employment opportunities
anticipated on the Line 3 project from
Indigenous busineses
350 Indigenous businesses identified
and mapped in our contractor database
More than 150 persons have
participated in a Line 3 Training-to-
Employment program
Indigenous construction monitors and
liaisons employed on the project
Working for Enbridge – RegistrationRegistration allows Enbridge personnel to source new supply
If your company is identified as fulfilling a current or future need, we will contact
you and proceed to the Pre-qualification phase of the approval process
Step 1:Ensure you have submitted your company information at
www.enbridge.com, select “Work with Enbridge” and
“Suppliers” at the main menu. The form is located at the
bottom of the page.
Step 2:Look over the site! There is great information available
regarding our policies and other requirements
Step 3:You will receive an email confirming your submission
Prospective supplier should first register on Enbridge.com
Working for Enbridge – Pre-qualification
We require that potential suppliers sufficiently demonstrate the appropriate technical, safety and quality requirements for their specific scope of work. We refer to this activity as “Pre-qualification.” A supplier must be pre-qualified prior to being approved within the Enbridge Approved Supplier List
Pre-qualification entails:
• Appropriate registrations: Depending on the scope of service or product supplied, we require that registrations are active and current. Examples include ABSA, ISNetworld
• Onsite Assessment: Depends on the scope of service or product supplied. Generally conducted by up to two assessors and consists of an in-depth technical and Quality Management system review.
The approval of a supplier does not guarantee business but
does offer the potential of doing business.
Supplier Management & Z245.30
Example Pre-qualification Criteria for Coating Applicators
Following is an example for the Pre-qualification of a Coating applicator. This is a
two part Quality & Technical assessment
Technical Assessment
• An ITP is completed and submitted for
approval prior to the arrival of the
assessment team
• A technical evaluation of the applicator in
actual job conditions applying the coating
system
• Quality Control Testing as per CSA Z245.30
table 6 is monitored throughout the
demonstration by a NACE certified
inspector to ensure that procedures are
performed appropriately as per the
Manufacturer Qualified Application
Procedure (MQAP)
Quality Assessment
• The Applicator submits their Quality Manual for
review
• The Quality Assessor will look for items such as:
• Training Program
• Experience Logs
• Qualification Certificates
• Traceability of Coating material batches
• Coating Material storage practices
• Task Specific Work instructions for Coating,
Surface Preparation and QC duties
• Document Control
• Records Management
• Project Preparation and execution Planning
• Safe Work Practices
