a special feature on the official Rocky Horror Blu-ray. On a more local level, The Home of Happiness often puts on special “theme nights” for our fans, turning Frank-N-Furter and his gang into zombies, super-heroes, and more. Have a new idea for us? We love a challenge!

The Home of Happiness has performed in diverse venues, including movie theatres, clubs, concert halls, and outdoor amphitheatres. Audiences have ranged from guests attending intimate parties to crowds nearing 4,000 people. Below are just some of our past and current venues:

Since 1998, The Home of Happiness has been presenting the original cult movie classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, to delighted audiences across the East Coast. What makes “Rocky” so special? Like any other film, it is played on a giant screen for a crowd of fans. The difference is the cast of actors that perform with the movie, bringing the action to life, and often, right into your laps. Known as “shadowcasts,” troupes of Rocky performers have been around almost since the movie’s release in 1975.

With the encouragement of the emcees and perform-ers, viewers, often dressed in costume, engage in audience participation by yelling witty lines, dancing, and if permitted by the venue, strategic throwing of props. Imagine being surrounded by feather boas, six-inch-high heels, and a roll of toilet paper whizzing over your head, and you’ll begin to appreciate this is not just another movie!

The Home of Happiness is widely regarded as one of

the best troupes in the country for its level of professionalism, sense of fun, and flexibility to adapt the show to any

environment and audi-ence. Our actors have been

nationally recognized for out-standing costumes and performances, and have been invited to participate in many special Rocky events, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show Tribute, a celebrity-filled benefit produced by Lou Adler and Kevin Duncan and directed by Kenny Ortega. Several of our performers were also cast for The Late Night, Double Feature, Picture-in-Picture Show,

• The Home of Happiness has been putting on Rocky Horror performances since 1998.

• The troupe has approximately 30 members, including performers and technical crew.

• The cast currently performs weekly in addition to special shows. Please refer to our website (www.njrocky.com) for a current schedule.

• The Rocky Horror Picture Show is rated “R.” Although some parents chose to bring their children to screenings and teenagers are frequent attendees, the show contains offensive language, suggestive themes and costumes include lingerie. Enter at your own risk!

• We are available for outside bookings. In fact, we love them! The cost of the show depends on the seating capacity and level of production value desired by the venue.

• For outside bookings, the cast can provide props, set pieces, lighting and sound equipment. In the case of union venues which require their own technicians and / or equipment, the cast is happy to serve as a consultant.
