In this musical the dark and brooding look of the entire family as seen on
television has been remarkably transferred to the Jane Tasch stage.
The plot is simple. Wednesday is all grown up, and has fallen in love with a
normal kid from Ohio. The storyline centers around the meeting of the
Addams’ Family and Lucas’s parents which is a recipe for disaster – or is
it? Join your favorite family members Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday,
Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and the rest of the crazy clan of Ancestors as they
sing and dance their way into your heart.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While
candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home life, the tweens spell their way
through a series of [potentially made-up] words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing,
pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter;
one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.
Cast is flexible from 9-15 and up to 9 men and up to 6 women. Some characters may be played by the
same actor. Please continue to check our website for all the final details, character descriptions and
audition information.
AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD ON DECEMBER 5TH AND 6TH.
Show dates are April 21, 22, 29 & 30 2017
Directed by Lynn Wilde Concannon
Produced by Ann Langford Pinckney Players are proud to be the first group in Livingston County
to bring this true story to the stage.
In September of 2003, the blockbuster film, Calendar Girls, hit the theatres and brought this poignant and
uplifting story to the attention of the world. While not a musical, it has been said that screenwriter Tim
Firth's stage version of the script takes aim squarely at the audience that flocked to see Mamma Mia! and
hits its mark!
When Annie Clarke's husband, John, is diagnosed with leukemia, her close friend, Chris Harper, anxious to
purchase a comfortable sofa for the visitors' lounge in the hospital where he was treated hatches a plan.
She hits upon the idea of printing an “alternative” calendar featuring some of the members of the
Knapely branch of the Women's Institute engaged in traditional WI activities, such as baking and knitting,
in order to raise funds. Her proposal initially is met with great skepticism, but she eventually convinces ten
women to participate in the project with her. The head of the local Women's Institute branch refuses to
sanction the calendar, and Chris and Annie go to a national congress of the Women's Institute in London
to plead their case. They are told the final decision rests with the local leader, who grudgingly agrees to
the calendar's sale. The initial printing quickly sells out, and before long the tiny village is bombarded with
members of the international media anxious to report the feel-good story. In the end, these brave
women raised enough money not only for a new couch, but for a new hospital wing as well. It is the
perfect story for an adult evening out with family or friends and is recommended for ages 16+.
You won’t want to miss this comedy with its heart-felt message.
Who could predict a whodunit, combined with slapstick comedy, in a 1920’s Speakeasy, with a cast of singers, dancers and improv actors, half of which were new to the stage, would break dinner theater attendance records and add an extra performance?
Café Murder and Cabaret did just that.
Sweet!
Kate Murphy - Director
More than 2000 people saw everyone’s favorite practically perfect nanny, Mary Poppins, fly into Pinckney this past October with the help of world famous Foy Inventerprises. Our community was thoroughly entertained as Mary, using a combination of magic and common sense, took the Banks children on a series of magical and memorable adventures and ultimately taught the family how to value each other again. My personal favorite show number was the chimney sweeps’ Step in Time and Bert’s gravity defying walk over the chimneys of London. It was a supercalifragilistic performance! I want to thank Pinckney’s own Econo Print and Dan Hall’s Pinckney
Chrysler Ram Dodge Jeep for sponsoring the show. I also want to thank the community for continuing to support the Pinckney Players. Without you, our audience, we would not be celebrating 25 years of Community Theatre. Theatrically, Ann Langford, Producer
The Junior Players are back! With close to sold out shows each night, the Juniors continue in their tradition of excellence. The camaraderie of our cast and the welcoming nature of our veteran performers made for a wonderful experience for everyone. Our cast was an almost 50/50 mix of returning Pinckney Players and brand new kids to our group. I can’t wait to see you all again and play in the footlights. Thank you to all the parents and production staff for making the Junior Players’ return a huge success. “Smile, smile, smile!!” Stephanie Heslip - Director
Merry Wives of Windsor (Ontario) marked
our fourth installment in the Shakespeare In
The Park outdoor show series , drawing our
largest audience yet, despite the very hot
temperatures and threat of rain. The zany
adaptation to the 1980’s showcased many
pop icons of the decade. Stay tuned for
the fifth installment! Come join us again!
