N10 Time Travel Cabaret Is that really Tony Bennett singing over there? Am I in a 1920's speakeasy? Was that a flapper dress? Is this a private room in Vegas in the 60's? Are we in Paris? Who is that woman in the slinky red sheath? Is this uptown New York in the 40’s? I know one thing...we're not in Kansas anymore. Look around - the men are sporting tuxedos, or nearly so, and the women are dolled up in glad rags. The piano player (Can you believe it? It’s Jared Gibbs!) is covering all my favorite songs. Wow! They're asking if anyone would like to solo. Ooh, my big chance! And they even have song sheets if you can't remember all the words. Did you see the table with elegant finger food from hors d'oeuvres through dessert? Wine, beer, and set-ups are being served by a classy bartender; I heard he’ll mix special drinks for patrons with a BYOB flask. I can only be in one place - the Time Travel Cabaret. Word is that this elegant rip in the fabric of the universe will take place in real time at 6:30 PM, on Saturday evening, February 1. Auction Notes Please Remember
While we do encourage everyone to pay for and pick up your goods promptly, please remember that our brilliant and talented book keepers are working as fast as they can, so please treat them gently!
Live Standing Bids
For dinners and other items with multiple seats available, we will be using “Standing Bids.” When you wish to bid on these items, please stand up and remain standing as the bidding continues. You may sit down if the bid rises past your limit. Whoever is left standing at the end of the bidding is the winner of that item. Hold up your fingers to represent the number of seats you are bidding on. Depending on how many seats each bidder wants, there may be more than one winner per item.
Silent Auction Reminder
Each individual item is represented by a bid number. However, for simplicity’s sake, some bid sheets may represent more than one item in a lot, if the items are alike and do not have individual descriptions. For these bids, the items will be dispersed according to the quantity of the top bidder’s request. If you want two or more of these items, you must write your bidding number, the quantity you are bidding on, and the amount you are bidding for each item.
