October 2014 Hajj simulation Our students will celebrate the holly days of the month Dhul-Hijjah with many activities, Islamic stories, detailed explanation of the fifth pillar of Islam (Hajj) and Hajj simulation. Please join us on Friday October 3th from 8:45 to 10:00 AM to enjoy the performance of Hajj simulation by our students and celebrate. Students are requested to wear white clothes or to bring a long white towel on this day. Eid Prayer and celebration holiday Eid prayer will be held at JAME Masjid on Saturday October 4 th at 9:15 AM. Make sure your children will attend this important celebration prayer. Our school is closed on Monday and Tuesday October 6 and 7 th to ensure everyone enjoying Eid celebration with the family. Daily Schedule at Meezan School At Meezan school, students are reading Quran daily. Islamic studies is provided three days and Arabic language class for two days/ week. Our teachers are working hard with the students to improve their education level to exceed the Ontario Academic standard. Your cooperation with teachers is so important. School new entrance is under-construction Uniform order The order of uniform was delayed due to late return of many size forms, but it has been placed this week. You may expect to get your child’s uniform after Eid Al-Adha holiday. Eid Al-Adha student celebration On Wednesday October 8 th , each class will host a small celebration at lunch time. Each students is requested to bring any Nuts free baked goods or treats to share with classmates. No cooked meals please. No Pizza Day on Friday October 3 rd . Friday October 3 rd is the Day of Arafat and we encourage our students to fast this day. The pizza day will be moved to Wednesday October 8 th and student will have the pizza and their treats to celebrate.

Students Safety

Safety of our students is our first priority.Please help us keeping our school area safefor our children. Temporary school entrance (Masjid door)

will be closed from 8:40 AM to 1:20PM.Please contact us if you need to drop off orpick up your child during this time.

If your child is sick, we appreciate keepinghim/ her at home for rest. School staff willcall parents to take sick child home. That willhelp us maintaining our school in hygienicconditions.

If you child will be absent please call theschool at 519-767-0079 to talk to staff or toleave a massage.

When you drop off or pick up you child DONOT reverse you car! Please drive aheadand make a U turn safely at the empty spotsbehind the School.

Respect our school timePlease do you best to bring your child toschool on time. Late student will miss themorning Quran citation, Morning Azkar andimportant announcements.We also appreciate beingon time for school dismiss.

HomeworkOne of the important way to ensure ourstudents receiving high level of education isto follow up with homework tasks.Please keep tracking yourchild progress and help him/ herfinishing the duties.

A trip to U of Guelph ArboretumStudent from grade 2 to grade 8 will have afield trip to University of Guelph Arboretumon Tuesday October 21st. Student will havethe chance to explore the biological life ofplants and insects as a part of their sciencecurriculum.
