Make Dreams Real will be held in Calgary at the

Ramada Plaza Calgary Airport Hotel andConference Centre on

Saturday, October 25th 3515 26 Street NE,Calgary.

This day-long event is hosted annually by District 5360 for all Rotarians inour District, and in particular for President Elects. Clubs are asked to extendan invitation and register youth from YEX, RYLA, RYPEN, Rotaract, Interactand other Rotary programs targeted at younger people. Their attendance willbe sponsored by Servus Credit Union.

Asconditions have worsened fears of a potentialoutbreak of cholera have now emerged. Nepaleseauthorities have been quick to provide food andmedical supplies but there remains a need forshelter as families are still left stranded from theirhomes. ShelterBox last sent aid to Nepal

Do You Know What DDF Is and Should YOU CARE?Firstly, what are district designated funds (DDF)? They are the 50% portion oftotal contributions made to the Annual Programs Fund by Rotarians, clubs andothers in our district in the Rotary year three years prior to the current year.For Rotary year 2013-14, these funds were derived from contributions made tothe Annual Programs Fund in 2010-12. The Rotary Foundation allows districtsto use up to 50% of DDF as grants to clubs for eligible purposes and theremainder to support eligible international projects undertaken by districtclubs.
