FOOTPRINTS IN THE CUSTARD Footprints has been very busy although this year we have not
run a major project as we did in 2014 with Pirates of
Penzance
We have sung nostalgic songs at four local nursing homes
and will be returning to the same places in November to sing
Christmas songs and more lsquogolden oldiesrsquo This is a very
rewarding activity and we would encourage any other choirs
to do likewise in their area We were delighted when one of
the audience members at our last performance produced his
own spoons from a small leather case and skilfully
accompanied us for every song
We have also been rehearsing in preparation for entertaining
at the National Inner Wheel Conference at Brauer College in
Warrnambool in mid-October We are very honoured to have
been asked to perform as there are so many other choirs from
the area that could have invited to perform
On November 7th we are holding a workshop day at the

MILLICENT CHORAL SOCIETY In August we were invited to give a concert for senior citizens
at Bordertown Our much loved former accompanist retired to
the town almost 2 years ago and we were delighted that she
could assist in accompanying us for several items during the
afternoon
A pleasant Sunday afternoon in Millicent during September
was a success Several high school music students and some
young people from the local drama group who performed 2
skits added to the charm of the afternoon This form of
concert has become an annual event and is well patronised by
the senior members of our local community
We have been invited to present some items at the concert to
celebrate the end of Seniors Month on October 30 and also at
the annual Community Christmas Carols in the Shearing Shed
on December 13
