This means two things for most of us and are in no parcular order that fall is upon us and the farmers are happy. It is hard to believe that another year is rapidly coming to an end. Just because we are ending 2017, doesn’t mean there isn’t sll plenty to do or that you can’t find plenty of ways to parcipate in Extension programming! This newsleer is full of ways to get involved. Freezer Cooking

The Bison Library and the Extension Office have teamed together to have a Freezer Cooking Class. It will be November 8 from 6-8 p.m. in the Bison Community Building. We will be making Rosemary Chicken, Chicken Pot Pie, Breakfast Casserole, and Beef Tips. All meals will feed a family of 4 + leftovers. Please RSVP to the Bison Community Library by November 3. Registration is not complete without payment.

Medicare Part D Open Enrollment

Remember that Medicare Part D is a dance and that every year from October 15 to December 7 we can check to make sure that we have the best partner. Please call the office to schedule an appointment. Appointments will take about 30 minutes per person. Make sure that you bring your Medicare card and your prescriptions with you.

Health Insurance Marketplace If you are getting your health insurance from the Marketplace, or “Obamacare”, then your Open En-rollment is November 1 to December 15. Please call the office to schedule an appointment for you to look at your plans and discuss what your options are should this be the route you take to get your health insur-ance. This enrollment period is much shorter than years past, so do not wait!

Quilting Program

Luann Horcem with Lazy H Quilting will be offering a quilting class on November 14 at 1:00 in the

backroom of the Rush Co. Extension Office. Please RSVP by November 9. You will have the option to make a

table runner or a table topper. Cost is $5 for the pattern and batting if you are bringing your own materials.

Luann will provide Christmas material for those that want to be surprised! The table runner will cost $10

and the topper will be $15 should you choose for all of your supplies to be provided.

Please also bring a sewing machine, cutting mat, ruler, rotary cutter, and 60 degree ruler if it is possible,

but we will have extra available.

Table Topper Supply List 2 strips of WOF (width of fabric) of each of two compatible Christmas prints. Each need to be 5 1/2 inches wide. 2 strips WOF one solid color or white on white print. This needs to 1 1/2 inches wide. Another piece of fabric for the bottom the same size. Table Runner Supply List 3 strips WOF (width of fabric) of each of two compatible Christmas prints. Each need to be 5 1/2 inches

wide. 3 strips WOF one solid color or white on white print. This needs to be 1 1/2 inches wide. Another piece of fabric for the bottom the same size 2 strips WOF 2 1/2 inches wide.

The 2017 Mystery Tour will take place on October 26. The day is full of mystery as participants

won’t know where they are going. This is a day trip that will cost $30 and your RSVP is due to any of our

offices by October 19. If you are will to drive, please let us know that as well! I think we have a great day

lined out and we hope you can join us!
