Queridos Feligreses: El 4 de mayo de 2019, Concepción Armida será beatificada en la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Ella es una mística que murió en 1937. Era esposa, después viuda y madre de 9 hijos. Un día, vio la imagen de la Cruz del Apostolado y recibió el llamado de Cristo para salvar almas. Concepción Armida fue fun-dadora de una congregación de Monjas, una de Sacerdotes y otros diferentes grupos religiosos. Desde 1999, nosotros en San Juan Evangelista, tenemos la Cruz del Apostolado en el frente de nuestra Iglesia. Conchita, como fue conocida, será beatificada por el milagro de interceder por la sa-nación de una persona diagnosticada con esclerosis múltiple, una enfermedad incurable. Milagrosamente sanó por la intercesión de Conchita. Me gustaría ofrecer una misa para Conchita el martes 30 de octu-bre a las 6:00 p.m. Invito a todos nuestros feligreses a esta misa y que pidamos su intercesión para la curación de aquellos que su-fren enfermedades incurables.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Dear Parishioners: On May 4, 2019, Concepción Armida will be beatified at the Basili-ca of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is a mystic who died in 1937. She was a wife, then a widow and mother of 9 children. One day, she saw the image of the Cross of the Apostolate and received the call of Christ to save souls. Concepción Armida was founder of a congregation of nuns, one of priests and other different religious groups. Since 1999, we in St John the Evangelist, have the Cross of the Apostolate in front of our Church. Conchita, as she was known, will be beatified by the miracle of interceding for the healing of a per-son diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable disease. Mirac-ulously the person was healed by the intercession of Conchita. I would like to offer a Mass for Conchita on Tuesday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. I invite all our parishioners to this Mass and ask for her intercession for the healing of those who suffer incurable diseases.
