The program features the widely acclaimed novel, Forever Forever, by Pete Hamill. You are cordially invited to the following two special programs. An Afternoon with Professor Andrew Tomko Saturday, September 29, 2012 2:00 p.m. Thrall Library in Middletown, NY Learn from an expert, more about the periods of history reflected in and lived through by Cormac O’Connor, the protagonist in Pete Hamill’s novel, Forever. Better understand what O’Connor may have been experiencing when he found out he could live ‘forever’, and was doing so! The afternoon will con- clude with a Q&A, followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to talk with Professor Tomko. Andrew Tomko has taught college-level literature and writing courses for twenty-five years. Since 1994 he has been a full-time faculty member at Bergen Community College in Paramus, New Jersey. Currently he is a Full Professor in the Composition and Literature Department and also Interim Dean of Business, Social Sciences, and Public Service. At Bergen he regularly teaches courses in Shakespeare and American and World literature, as well as several writing courses. He has a Ph.D. in English literature from the City University of New York Graduate Center, with a Certificate in Medieval Studies.
