Women of Grace
Johnnette Benkovic Williams, nationally known author and EWTN host of Women of Grace, "Living His Life Abundantly", of television and radio, has shared her inspirational work over the past 30 years through a Foundational Study, "Women of Grace, Women and the Abundant Life".
In her writings and through this study, women of all ages and stages of life learn the dignity of their 'Authentic Femininity" and how God can use this authentic femininity to aid our broken world and restore it at "such a time as this". Two of the goals of the study are: To affirm women in their dignity and vocation as daughters of God and to affirm them in their essential nature and spirit with an emphasis on their womanly strength and virtue.
Here at St. Mark Parish, a study will begin. Details are still being considered. Please contact Lynn Toole, 413-281-8054 or email [email protected] to request more information and to express your interest.
Learn of the dignity which our Father has given to women, at all times throughout history, dignity which cannot be compared to
any worldly feminism. Please join us!!

Socialize, Pray, Serve”
Dear Parishioners,
- October 7th is the Feast of our Lady of the Rosary.
The development of the rosary has a long history.
Many centuries ago, a practice developed of praying
150 Our Fathers in imitation of the 150 Psalms. Then
there was a parallel practice of praying 150 Hail
Marys. Eventually, a mystery of Jesus’ life was com-
memorated along with the prayers. The development
of this prayer form owes much to the followers of
Saint Dominic. One of them, Alan de la Roche, was
known as “the apostle of the rosary.” He founded the
first Confraternity of the Rosary in the 15th century.
In the 16th century, the rosary was developed to its
present form with the 15 mysteries: joyful, sorrowful
and glorious. In 2002, Pope John Paul II added the
five luminous mysteries. The Rosary is an important
devotion, it can calm our anxieties and bring us peace
through the intercession of the Mother of Our
Lord. Praying the Rosary can make a big difference!
Peace and blessings,
Fr. Chris
