October 2012 With the start of a new school year, Lambda Tau has so much to share with our Monroe alumnae! In August, the chapter had a successful recruitment! The university saw record numbers of Potential New Members! And on August 27 th , Lambda Tau welcomed 36 baby pandas to the AOII sisterhood! The chapter would like to thank the alumnae for all of the support and donations that were made towards our recruitment! Lambda Tau could not have had this success without you! The new members were pledged in on September 9 th and have been learning all about AOII at their weekly meetings lead by New Member Educator, Tracey Nyguen, and Assistant, Rachel Barnes. The girls have bonded through their new member retreat and their participation in philanthropy events such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition, the baby pandas have been getting to know the older girls through weekly Special Stella dates! Big Sisters have been selected, and the chapter is anxiously awaiting Big Sister/ Little Sister Reveal on November 1 st !

Octob e r 20 12 With the start of a new school year, Lambda Tau has so much to

share with our Monroe alumnae! In August, the chapter had a successful recruitment! The

university saw record numbers of Potential New Members! And on August 27th, Lambda Tau welcomed 36 baby pandas to the

AOII sisterhood! The chapter would like to thank the alumnae for all of the

support and donations that were made towards our recruitment! Lambda Tau could not have had this success without you!

The new members were pledged in on September 9th and have been learning all about AOII at their weekly meetings lead by New Member Educator, Tracey Nyguen, and Assistant, Rachel

Barnes. The girls have bonded through their new member retreat and their participation in philanthropy events such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition, the baby

pandas have been getting to know the older girls through weekly Special Stella dates! Big Sisters have been selected, and the

chapter is anxiously awaiting Big Sister/ Little Sister Reveal on November 1st!

The chapter has also been active around the Greek Community! The AOIIs placed second at Pi Kappa Alpha’s annual Pike Fest. The girls

dominated in activities such as Tug-of-War, Egg Toss, and many more! Also, on September 25th, the Kappa Deltas hosted a Friendship

Dinner for all of the sororities on campus! There were different vendors selling Greek products, and many door prizes were given out. It was a great opportunity to spend time with the other Greek girls!

Since our Warhawks are doing so great this football season, the AOIIs have been proudly supporting them! Please join us out in The

Grove to tailgate anytime!

Upcoming Events: The next big event that is coming up is Homecoming 2012! The

chapter would love to see some alumnae tailgating with us in the Grove on October 27th! The game is for 6:00pm, so stop by our tent anytime before the game! We are planning to serve food, so if you

are interested in coming please email Natalie Kern at [email protected]. This will help us get a head count of

people! In addition, we are selling t-shirt (short sleeved) for $12.74. Please let us know if you’re interested in buying one!

Some other dates to be aware of are:

Rose Ball on November 10th at the Monroe American Legion *Contact [email protected] if you want to attend Rose Ball*

Parent’s Weekend on November 3rd
