LIVING PAST MASTERS OF ENGLEWOOD lodge #360

Starting on the 4th Sunday of October We will be putting on a Pulled Pork Dinner

instead of BBQ Chicken. We will continue to serve the Pulled Pork on the 4th Sunday of every Month until further

notice.

Be a part of something wonderful!

The Child ID program for Zone 8 is headed up by none other than our own R\W\ Gene Jeffers and the 27th Masonic District Chairperson is our very own W\ Denis Doome.

The child ID program is focused on prevention, and provides a

kit that enables parents/guardians with the capability to quickly distribute digital information. It promotes education

for parents and children, and is completely FREE. The program equips law enforcement with vital information to assist their

efforts when searching for a missing person. A Child ID event is one of the most important and useful public relations activities available to the Fraternity. Events educate the public about the Fraternity’s commitment to charity. They display community involvement, set the Craft to work, and are

the beginning for the membership process.

Contact W\ Denis Doome or R\W\ Gene Jeffers to see how you can help be a part of Something Wonderful!

FROM THE EAST Happy October my Brothers.

As we are now in the fourth quarter of the year I'm reminded of the tasks yet to be accomplished in 2016. We have a couple of new

brothers in the process of becoming Master Masons and one soon to be an Entered apprentice. We also have at least one brother in the process of transferring to our lodge and we have at least three degrees to put on in the near future. Although we have made great

improvements to the inside of our lodge we have much work ahead with the outside of our facility. We are planning to add a new menu item to our Sunday barbeque which is no small task. We are also in the planning process of a big yard sale here at the lodge in November and soon

we will be planning our holiday events. I'm sure this is just part of the ongoing and planned events our lodge will tackle in the fourth quarter of what has been a very fine year in

my mind. Thanks to all who have helped and thanks in advance to those of you who will help in the future.

All is well in the village and peace and brotherly love prevail.

Fraternally Yours,

Worshipful Master, Stoney Stonecipher

From the West

This Month will be our first Pulled Pork Dinner. Many folks have mentioned that they were getting a bit “Chickened Out” coming for chicken twice

a month, so we are going to try something new. Stop by for some pulled pork and let us know how we did.

I have heard through the grapevine that several of our Northern Brothers are returning this month, so let me be one of the first to extend my

heartfelt welcome and I look forward to seeing you in the Lodge.

Fraternally

By Ancient custom, the King was always covered while his subjects were never covered in his presence. The American custom of the Master of the Lodge wearing a hat as a

symbol of his authority is apparently a result of that ancient custom.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

FROM THE SOUTH

Greetings from the South.

Fall is here and the weather is starting to cool off. This means our winter Brothers will be back. As in my last message, the lodge has improved even more, I feel confident that we will get everything accomplished we need to do for the anniversary. Again many thanks to the

brothers that have pitched in. The float for the parade this year was thanks to brother Scott Budwitz and our brother at Two Morrows trailers. I was glad to see us well

represented, we need to keep up the community exposure. Great Job brothers. Lastly my brothers, the lodge needs as much support as possible, with all that is being done, it all costs something. With that said I will steal a phrase from the Catholic church I attend. Support comes in three flavors, Time (come help out and support fund raisers) Talent ( if the lodge

needs something special that is your forte, come help out) and last Treasure ( if you can help out financially then please do so). I will close with an example of Time, Talent, Treasure; We have a brother that has delivered homemade deserts for every meal and some

special occasions for the past 2 years yet he can not attend lodge due to wife's illness. Meals for the September Meetings will be:

4 Oct meal will be BYOB (build your own burger) and chips 18 Oct meal will be Pulled Pork and chips

Fraternally

MASONIC ANNIVERSARIES

Masonic Education

Freemasonry 201…..We now begin a more in-depth study of Masonic information. As you know, “Light” in Freemasonry is a term for education. Our Holy Book of Faith is one of three great lights and even states, “let there be light”. Through our recent studies and lessons we now have more “light”. During the next few months we will talk about the appendant bodies in Freemasonry, famous Freemasons and additional use of symbols. Our history, allegories and symbols are all part of the knowledge of Freemasonry. The more we understand, the better we will be as a Freemason.

Chaplain’s Corner

During our meetings each month I acknowledge special events and dates in Masonic brother’s lives, such as birthdays, anniversaries and Masonic birthdays. I also share concerns for the health of our brothers and their family members. In life’s journey, we have special moments and happy times but also times of sorrow. As lodge members, our obligation is to be aware of both good and bad times so that we can provide support and be there for each

other in thought and prayer.
