Each year, a master list of 25 titles is released and a winner is chosen in April.  Students are encouraged to read at least 5 books in order to place a vote for their favorite book in February of 2018.  Join us and discuss the books you’ve read and find out what you may want to read next!  All of the books are available in the Children’s Room.  What is TWIG? The Junior Friends of the Plymouth Public Library has undergone a change.  Our all-new Tween Interest Group (a.k.a. TWIG) provides a special opportunity for tweens ages 9 to 11 to get involved in making decisions that will shape their library community. This may mean helping Youth Services staff prep materials for programs, sorting and shelving books, volunteering at the biannual book sale, or assisting the Plymouth Public Library Corporation with the Storybook Breakfast.  Get involved, share your ideas, and have fun at the library! Meetings will be held monthly, typically on the first Wednesday evening of the month. This program will be led by Dr. Laurel Kornhiser, and participants include Youth Services Librarian Margaret McGrath, students from Quincy College and inmates from the Correctional Facility. Saturday, October 7 th Monsters, Inc., PG Follows Sully and Mike, two monsters employed to scare children in order to generate energy from their screams. They run into trouble when Boo, an adorable little girl who Sully is assigned to scare, escapes into the monster world. Running time: 1 hour, 32 minutes. Saturday, October 14 th Goosebumps, PG Zach hates his new town until he meets his neighbor, Hannah, and finds out her father is R.L. Stine, the mysterious author of the famous Goosebumps book series.
