Nimantrana

Nimantrana means an invitation, and therefore, it is the public announcement of the wedding along with details of the date and venue of the same. The first invitation is called the Deva nimantrana and is placed before the Lord Jagannath. This is basically inviting the Lord to come and bless the couple on the most important day of their life.
