between after installation. However, they are two, very different types of flooring. Solid flooring, the industry standard, has a solid core of hardwood throughout and is best suited for on or above-grade installation over a wood subfloor.

Engineered flooring, typically used in projects with higher or contrasting moisture levels, uses a 4mm surface layer of solid wood adhered to a stable, 8-layer plywood core – allowing for below-grade or concrete subfloor installation.

It’s been said that they don’t make them like they used to. If you have been floor shopping for any length of time now, you know this is often especially true with hardwood flooring.

Most modern milling companies utilize only certain parts of the log so they can be sure that the hardwood that will sit on the shelf of one store will look identical to that sitting at another. But there was a time when

milling had a simple goal: turn a log into planks, and use as much of the log as possible.

Olde Wood Limited still believes in this time-honored practice, known as live-sawing, and we think you will agree that the results are breathtaking.

Replicating early pioneer sawing practices, our Traditional Plank flooring is live-sawn from fully

matured trees, resulting in tight natural grain variations, rustic appearance, coloration and character that would be removed by other modern lumber grading practices.

By utilizing the entire log through-and-through we are able to present you with the longest lengths and widest planks available, as well as minimize the amount of wasted materials harvested from our forests.

Mustang CollectionAlong with the farmers came two staples in American history: the barns that dotted the landscape and the horses that worked side by side with them. While some horses worked hard plowing fields, carrying soldiers into battle, or transporting pioneers across unexplored territories, some horses escaped into the wild.

These escaped horses came to be known as mustangs, an American symbol of freedom, strength, and pioneer perseverance.

Horses, tame or wild, had a crucial role in this nation’s story. Olde Wood Ltd. created the Mustang Collection to represent the importance of these majestic creatures.

Reclaimed Antique Barn SidingOlde Wood Limited’s Reclaimed Antique Barn Siding gives a unique look to any interior or exterior wall treatment. Our genuine barn siding is individually inspected and graded to ensure durability, preservation and long life.

Barn siding adds a nostalgic element to any new home construction, remodeling project, commercial design or retail space. Each plank

is highly preserved because of its weathered past and comes standard in a three-sided surface for easy installation. Other milling options are also available, as in explained below. Our barn siding comes in a variety of widths and lengths, and requires very little upkeep.

Reclaimed Antique Barn Siding can be used in a variety of applications, such as interior wall

paneling, exterior siding or ceiling decking. This durable wood has been naturally air dried over many decades and is not only optimally dry and stable, but virtually maintenance-free.

Distressed CollectionThe Distressed Collection was inspired by the combination of the colors of the traditional agricultural buildings that dotted the American landscape during the 18th and 19th centuries with the modern age. This reclaimed wall or ceiling treatment brings together the deep textures and historic authenticity of naturally weathered barn siding with the contemporary characteristics of a distressed color.
