European level of production isprovided by several factors:

In 2011, “Mir Upakovki” was successfully certified for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 “Quality Management Systems. Requirements” and ISO 22000:2005 “Food safety management systems. Requirements for any organization in the food chain”.

QUALITY POLICYEQUIPMENT AND IMPLEMENTED TECHNOLOGIES

Cutting-edge automatic molding machines by Engel (Austria), Husky (Canada) and Demag (Germany) with a closing force of up to 650 tons are equipped with a central feed system which allows us to reduce expenditures and increase production effectiveness.

Extrusion equipment includes “Bekum” and“Kautex” (Germany).

The production process is ultimately automated: IML and taking-off robots, insert-automats (for completing lids with stops) and assembling units (assemblers) for multi-component items are used.

Since summer 2012, a 2-stage ISBM-complex (formolding PET-items full-cycle) is being launched.


INGECTION MOLDS

Suppliers of the highly production-effective and reliable molds are leading companies from the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Canada.

We ensure absolute molding accuracy and high quality item surface.

QUALITY POLICY European level of production isprovided by several factors:

MATERIAL

In the process of manufacturing its items, the company uses high quality materials from leading Russian and European suppliers such as Kazanorgsintez, Stavrolen, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Borealis, Basell, Total Petrochemical and super concentrates (dye color for polymers) of 400 various hues.

Bulk polymer-carrier and ABS bin storage and feed systems are used to ensure the absence of foreign matter.

All input materials undergo incoming material control.

“Mir Upakovki” offers foreign companies to convert previously launched projects therefore using Russian work materials, thus reducing expenditures.


QUALITY CONTROL

The quality of all manufactured products is controlled by a special service equipped with a state-of-the-art laboratory.

The company is HACCP certified (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).

PERSONNEL QUALIFICATION

The company has a well-established personnel training system, regularly offering seminars and trainings. Internships have been held both in Russia and abroad. This has become possible due to collaboration with foreign partners.

In 2011, the company successfully completed a social audit.

The number of employees in 2012 is 350.


LOGISTICS

The company plans production and shipment in order to deliver products on time and with maximum convenience for the customer.

For delivering guaranteed supplies to customers, the company’s own heavy truck fleet was expanded through the purchase of 10 new trucks in 2011.

Products are dispatched from the warehouse 24/7.


HYGIENE

Assembling multi-part items is carried out automatically by assembly robots

Stockpiling of food items is executed by assembly robots, packaging into corrugated boxes by professional personnel in gloves

Personnel is allowed on the manufacturing site only in workwear and headgear

Barrier Food Packaging

140 ml KNB containers are sealed in the first high barrier packaging produced in Russia, providing a shelf life similar to tin containers, differing in light weight and full transparency.

PACKAGE DECORATION OFFSET

Since 2003, “Mir Upakovki” has had a workshop on drawing pictures on buckets by dry offset.

The technology allows to apply prints and drawings of up to seven colors. Machinery gear provides printing on all buckets produced by Mir Upakovki -from 0.85L to 30L and on all containers ranging from 0.185L to 0.485L. To protect the package from corrosion or from fading and to give a glossy shine, varnish is applied.

Offset technology allows our customers to protect products against counterfeiting, reduce the cost of product labeling and reduce technological transitions, which results in substantial savings in the cost of production.

PACKAGE DECORATION IML

Since 2004, “Mir Upakovki” has been widely using IN-MOULD LABELING (IML) for plastic pails, containers and lids. The company was the first to apply this sort of decoration in Russia.

IML technology, which involves patching the label onto a plastic item directly in work, is widely spread abroad.

factory.

Specialists of “Mir Upakovki“ CJSC were actively involved in the development of the new GOST for polymeric containers (see publication in the “Plastics” journal No. 12-2011, p.132-138)

GOST R 51760 -2011 “Consumer polymer packaging, general specifications” instead of GOST R 51760-2001 Rosstandart order dated November 24, 2011 (No. 599-st) with a term of introducing the standard in force from July 1st, 2012.

PET-PRODUCTS BY ISBM

PROPOSAL

“Mir Upakovki” CJSC offers a packaging solution for bulk groceries - a jar of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

The customer gets a ready-for-packing container completed with a perfectly suitable lid.

Such packaging is light weight and offers improved protection against counterfeiting.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

“Mir Upakovki” CJSC is launching new equipment into operation manufactured by one of the leading suppliers (Japan), a machine running on Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) technology.

ISBM allows PET-products (material of high transparency, a visual analogue of glass) to be made in one cycle.

High performance machine molds pre-forms on the multilocular forms and then inflates jars / bottles.

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY

While traditionally the production of PET-products involves the purchase of PET-pre-forms from a third party manufacturer and their inflating at the production site of the customer, we offer delivery of finished products on a turnkey basis.

BARRIER CONTAINER KNB 140 ml (prO2tector)In their product line, the company has a product solution with a barrier - a 3 layer barrier 140 ml container (identifying name is KNB).

IT REALLY WORKS!

In 2011, VNIRO laboratories carried out tests that gave positive results on salmon caviar storage. Shelf life in KNB is 1 year at a temperature between -6 and -4 °C.

In July 2012 similar tests will be completed in the Gorbatov’s All-Russian Meat Research Institute (VNIIMP)on such products as pork stew, beef in sauces, pates, etc. The preliminary conclusion is: the shelf life of meat preservation in KNB may amount to 4 years.
