What Do We Do?

In addition to raising funds for the items listed, the Face Off-Club sponsors many fun activities designed to allow fans to interact and get to know the players:

Annual Blue/Gold Game - a great way to get a preview of what lies ahead in the season

Skate with the Nanooks - after games this is a perfect opportunity to interact with the players and get photos and autographs

Website - providing information and photos

Luncheons with the Coaches - each Friday of the home series...be in the know!

Kick-Off Banquet - Season kick-off that includes introduction of the players and naming of the team captains.

Nanook Jersey and Poster raffles - win an official Nanook jersey or framed poster of the featured player and support the team.

Post Game Socials - After every Saturday home game...fun, food, and players!

Nanook Hockey Broadcasts - listen to and watch the Nanooks

Awards Banquet - Wrap up the season by being a part of the fun of awards

The Face-Off Club is a dynamic and growing Booster Club interested in the promotion and development of the Alaska Nanooks Hockey Program. The emphasis is on both fun-raising and fund-raising. The Club activities are designed to let members meet with and get to know the Nanook players and coaches. The Club also organizes a wide variety of fund-raising activities to help support the team.

Getting to know the Nanook players and the coaches through a series of regularly scheduled events

Nanook Hockey 101 - members only session with Nanook coaching staff and team explaining rules and strategy of the game

Membership gifts have previously included a combination of pins, pens, membership cards, window decals, magnetic game schedules and signed hockey posters. Each year is different.

Regular emails that include messages from the Coach

An opportunity for free game admission when you travel to road games outside Alaska with the Nanooks

Membership Categories...

The Face-Off Club has accomplished more every year to support our Nanooks. Now we are aiming even higher! The team locker rooms at the Carlson Center are the smallest in the league. We have raised a significant amount of money to use as “seed” money for our contribu-tion toward the locker room expansion project.

We plan to continue the lifetime membership option, but now that we have raised our locker room “seed” money, the lifetime membership money will go toward the general fund to support other projects that will help our team.The yearly family membership is still an option.

To Face Off Club Members,

I would like to thank the Face-Off Club and all the members for your continuous support. Without the club’s support Nanook Hockey would not be where it is today. Our program is very fortunate to have such a passionate group of people a part of Nanook Hockey.

The renewal of your membership is very important to Nanook Hockey and I would to thank you for your continued participation and support. For those of you that are joining for the first time, congratulations and thank you for joining the best booster club in college hockey.
