A contemporary new local.Building & interiors
The Pace of Northcote development responds to the local area in both the outward appearance of the building, and with the choices made for its apartment’s interiors. The project is contemporary, urban, sophisticated and timeless.
Pace of Northcote is made up of one, two and three-bedroom apartments
and retail spaces on the corner of High Street and Beavers Road.
The building’s façade has an industrial aesthetic achieved by using
exposed structural grid elements and metal cladding. Incorporated into
the façade, descending plants and greenery provide the perfect balance
to the metal exterior, bringing the building to life and creating a unique
lush outlook for the apartments.
In addition to providing an eye-catching natural touch to the building,
the climbing wall of plants and greenery provides additional shade /
insulation to apartments, making residences more energy efficient
by reducing the need for excessive heating and cooling and thereby
improves the buildings green footprint.

We Are Huntly, known for their emphasis on craftsmanship, dedication
to creating beautiful spaces, and for elegantly pairing form with function.
A pared-back, minimalist colour palette has been used throughout the
apartments, providing a sophisticated canvas on which you can make
your own mark. Choose between two contemporary colourways, light
and dark, including shades of pewter, white, stone and grey.
Brushed-bronze tapware, custom joinery and appliances from Smeg’s
linear range, result in a refined and contemporary kitchen.

Interior design & architecture team.We Are Huntly & Cera Stribley Architects
Pace of Northcote brings together an esteemed creative team: Cera Stribley Architects (CSA) and interior design firm We Are Huntly. CSA is well known for its dedication to design excellence and We Are Huntly always strives to create contemporary, considered spaces its founders themselves would love to live in.
Vision, design excellence & architecture with character.Architecture by Cera Stribley Architects

We are Huntly's core philosophy is to pursue each design with intent, looking
at the bigger picture by considering all of the little things.
We Are Huntly directors Kylie Dorotic and Alicia McKimm place an emphasis
on craftsmanship, meaning that every design decision is based on a balance
between form and function. It’s not a statement piece of design or art that
steals your attention when you walk into a space, but the way one feels within
it, and the feeling that lingers in your mind long after you’ve left.
Working across retail, hospitality, commercial, residential and multi-residential:
We Are Huntly would not design something they wouldn’t live in, work in, shop
at or eat in. With every project We Are Huntly put their name to, the studio aims
to create something unique, something that is sure to surprise, and something
that is most definitely beautiful.
wearehuntly.com.au
Cera Stribley Architects (CSA) was founded in 2012, and is based in Melbourne,
Australia, led by two young emerging architects, Domenic Cerantonio and
Chris Stribley. The design firm works in diverse areas of the developmental
industry, including residential; commercial office; retail; hotel and hospitality;
transport; and master planning.
Both founding partners have more than 10 years of experience working locally
and internationally on a range of major and bespoke projects. The company’s
dedicated team includes architects, space planners, interior designers,
technicians and management executives who work together to achieve the
company’s goals – to deliver superior client service; to work at the forefront
of design excellence; and to complete projects that thrive.
CSA creates site-specific architectural responses. It does this by developing
a custom architectural language for each project it works on, and a vision that
reflects the individual character of each endeavour.

The finest of the northern suburbs.Northcote
Northcote’s village-like atmosphere, despite being just five kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD, makes the suburb something special. It is home to boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants, eclectic retail and all the day-to-day conveniences that make a suburb feel like home.
Northcote was at the vanguard of Melbourne’s booming and serious coffee
scene, which is now a way of life for Melburnians. The best cafés combine
a passion for beans with beautiful interior design and dedicated service.
Barry epitomises all of this. It’s the perfect place for a moment of calm
with your morning coffee and the newspaper, or for a classic Melbourne
breakfast, hearty lunches and brunch.

Alternatively, if you’re in the mood for shopping and want to stay
local head north up High Street where you will find an array of
independent local fashion and homewares designers that enrich
the neighbourhood.

Another option for enjoying the outdoors is the Northcote Aquatic and
Recreation Centre. Its 50-metre outdoor pool is perfect for the diligent
lap swimmers and the relaxed paddlers alike.

Turn afternoon into evening in the Carwyn Cellars & The Back Room Bar
outdoor area. Then, when you’re hungry again head towards outdoor food-
truck muster and bar, Welcome to Thornbury – a perfect place to try the
best of what Melbourne’s food-truck scene has to offer.
For dinner choose between one of the many neighbourhood favourites.
Pizza Mein Liebe does eat-in or takeaway, and is known for making pizzas
with traditional toppings, and some slightly whacky options. Or for a taste
of authentic Korean cuisine, stop in at Seoul Soul Plus. It has split the
difference between hawker-style dining and restaurant dining by presenting
classic dishes in a tapas style.

If you want to extend your night with a drink after dinner, Bar Nonno and
Kitty Somerset are excellent options. The first has European charm and
encourages the appreciation of good food and wine that characterises
that continent. Kitty Somerset is equally easy to settle into. This is a cosy
and elegant spot for a drink.
Live-music venues and the Palace Westgarth Cinema are options any night
of the week. For a pub atmosphere and a live show your best bet is the
Northcote Social Club. If it’s a bar you’re after Trumpy’s or Pallino Bar & Bocce
will take care of you. Both are intimate but with enough atmosphere to keep
you saying “just one more” well into the night. And if you’re lucky enough
to live nearby, the walk home will reveal the many other places you’ll want
to explore next time.
For a more refined dining experience head to ESP, a fine dining
restaurant with a seven-course degustation menu. It's sibling next
door, Estelle Bistro, offers a more relaxed dining experience with
a simple and modern menu, from a single course with a glass of
wine, to a five-course tasting menu.
