1. On Sept 04, 2017; Slogan and Painting competition was organised on various topics such as Child Labour, Global Warming, Women Foeticide, Save Earth and Water, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao etc., Thirty five students participated in this competition.
2. On Sept 11, 2017; An extension lecture on Dental Health Awareness by Dr.Alka Singh, Dental Surgeon, Primary Health Centre Dhandwas organised.
3. Poetical Symposium and Speech Competition was organised on datedSept 13, 2017. Thirty students participated in this competition.
4. Rangoli Competition was organised on dated Oct.06, 2017. Fifteen students participated in this competition.
5. On Oct 7, 2016; Mahendi Competition was organised on the occasion of Karva Chouth. In this competition, participation of twenty five students was there.
6. An extension lecture on Cyber Crimewas organised on dated Feb.03, 2018. The lecture was delivered by Sh. Virender Walia A.S.I Cyber Cell, Ambala.
7. A Blood Donation Camp was organised on Feb.10, 2018. 55 donors donated blood in this camp.

Independence Day and One Day N.S.S camp
On 15 Aug, 2017 the local unit of N.S.S celebrated the 71 th Independence Day the most important
National event and organized one day camp It was conducted by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under
the President-ship of the Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh . On this occasion Flag was hoisted, by the
Secretary Ch. Karan Singh and Treasurer Sh. Ashwani Gupta a main guest of the function .After the
flag hoisting ceremony National Anthem song was sung.
Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers. They told volunteers that it is a
day of great significance for the people of India. At this day(15 th of August in 1947.) India got
freedom from the British rule after long years of slavery. It was not so easy for the India to get
freedom from the Britishers however various great people and freedom fighters of India made it a
truth. They had sacrificed their lives in attaining the freedom for their future generations without
worrying about their comfort, rest and freedom. They planned and acted upon various
Independence Movements including violent and nonviolent resistance to get complete freedom.
After addressing, the volunteers participated in cultural activities . The function was wind up with
the thanks of volunteers & staff members by Dr. Pushpa.their standard of living and lead a life of
dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity
of resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and
first aid to the disaster victims.
Swachhta Pakwada ( w.e.f 1 Sep to 15 Sep 2017)
Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan was started from within the college campus from 1 Sep 2017 to 15 Sep
2015 with the swachhta shapath ( pledge ). It was organized within the college premises by Dr.
Pushpa, Programme Officer of N.S.S unit under the presiden-ship of the Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh
and local Unit of N.S.S The students who have joined NSS for the session 2017-18 were involved in
the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan along with Principal and college fraternity. On the first day the
Principal addressed the Volunteers . During his address he motivated and encouraged all the
Volunteers to fulfill the moto of N.S.S “Not Me But You”.
During these days NSS Volunteers did following task
Pledge was administered at college by students and staff. Posters were put up on the notice boards and camps to aware students
about cleanliness.
Class to class awareness programmes were organised to aware students. The need to maintain basic sanitation and cleanliness in all aspects this will
make it easier for the society to spread the message of a clean and beautiful campus....
Every day 3 hours devoted by Volunteers on cleanliness by 137 NSS Volunteers at college and at neighbouring areas
Door to Door campaign conducted by the students in village to aware children about Cleanliness drive at Kaul Village.
In between these days “Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao” campaign was launched from college campus
to increase awareness on celebrating the Girl Child & enabling her education.. The campaign will be
aimed at ensuring girls are born, nurtured and educated without discrimination. An Awareness
Programme about cleanliness and Dental Health was organized. in the college . The main chef
guest was our College President Ch. Tejvir Singh & Dr. Alka Singh Dental surgeon, PHC Dhand .First
Ch. Tejvir Singh Addressed the NSS Volunteers and aware them about the need to maintain basic
sanitation and cleanliness in all aspects which will make our society clean and beautiful .Then Dr.
Alka delivered a lecture about Dental Health & aware the NSS Volunteers about the Balanced
food and Healthy Teeth Gums and lecture healthy tips for preventing cavities and maintain good
oral health, In the end of the camp Dr. Pushpa thanked the Volunteers for their participation Besides
the members of the Committee of N.S.S all other members of the staff were also present there..
Pre Replic day Prade Trail ( 22 Sep 2017)
NSS Coordinator Dr. Pushpa and two NSS Volunteers named Navjyoti B.Sc Final Roll no 1305 and
Prveen Kumar Class B.Com III Roll No 902 participated in Pre Replic day Prade Trail organized by
Kurukshetra University Kurushetra and Navjyot was selected in Pre Replic day prade trail.
NSS Day
NSS Day On 24th September National Service Scheme Day was celebrated within the
college premises by NSS unit under the presidentship of the Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh, The
programme primary aim of the scheme is to enable the students to upgrade their
personality and experience through community service to provide service to society without
bias. The Principal addressed the Volunteers . During his address he motivated and encouraged all
the Volunteers to fulfill the Motto of NSS is ‘ Not Me But You’ this reflects the essence of democratic
living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of other persons point of view and
also show consideration for fellow human beings. cites. All the volunteers participated in the event
with zeal and enthusiasm On this day NSS unit organized poem competition.
On the same day Dr. Pushpa with four Volunteers participated in NSS day function
organized by NSS Unit of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra . In this day cultural programme
was organized by NSS Unit of K.U.K and about 30 college participated this function . In Dance
competition our college NSS Volunteers named Anuradha gains Ist position . And NSS
Coordinator Dr. Puspa displayed all NSS Activities on Flex which is appreciated by Dr. Dinesh
Rana NSS Coordinator of KUK NSS unit.

Bhagat Singh Jyanti (27 Sept 2017)
The local unit of N.S.S Celebrated the 27th September as a Bhagat Singh Jayanti.. It was
conducted by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under the President ship of the Principal Dr. Balbir
Singh and other staff members of the college .. On this occasion Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir
Singh addressed all the volunteers. They told volunteers about the background of Shri
Bhagat Singh also known as Shaheed Bhagat Singh (27 September 1907 – 23 March 1931)
was an Indian socialist and a revolutionary. To honour Shaheed Bhagat Singh on this day
Poem and Essay writing competition was organized by NSS Unit. And Volunteers sang
patriotic songs like Kar Chale Hum Fida, Mera Rang De Basanti, ,Chale Chalo, Jis Desh
Mein Ganga Behti Hai , Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon etc..
. Lectures was performed by Sh.S.S Lather ,Dr. Ishwar Singh . Dr. Rishipal , Dr. Mamta , &
Sh. Sarwash about the life style and contribution of Bhagat Singh in Indian National
movement i.e he is considered to be one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian
Independence Movement They told volunteers that He is the symbol of the heroism of the
youth of India. and involved in numerous revolutionary activities. As revolutionary He
threw a bomb when the Legislature was in session to warn the British Government. He was
put to death but lives in the hearts of his countrymen.

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti(2nd October 2017)
The local unit of N.S.S Celebrated the 2nd October as a Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.. It was
conducted by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under the President ship of the Principal Dr. Balbir
Singh. On this occasion Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers. They told
volunteers about the background of Mahatma Gandhi that On 2nd of October a great person
Mahatma Gandhi was born in the year 1869 at Porbandar in the Gujarat. Mahatma Gandhi is also
known as Bapu in India for his unforgettable contributions and struggle for the freedom of Indian.
They told volunteers that Mahatma Gandhi’s life and his principles have inspired lives of all ages.
Gandhi’s life was an example of simplicity and devotion . On this occasion NSS unit organized
Slogan writing competition Extension Lecture and Awareness rally on the topic“ Beti Bachao, Beti
Padhao” “ Nasha Chodo Desh bachao “, Planted tree and save Earth and so on ,. The NSS
volunteers participated in cleaning activities .. Then to honour Gandhi respect all volunteers take
part in prayers. Mahatma Gandhi favorite devotional song “ Raghupati Raghava is customarily sung
by all volunteers .

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan : Issues and Challenges(25 Oct 2017)
NSS coordinator Dr. Pushpa participated in Haryana Swarna Jayanti National Seminar organized by
National Service Scheme unit Rajiv Gandhi Govt. College Saha Ambala sponsored by Director Higher
Education Haryarna and presented a paper entitled “ Samaj v Rashter Nirman may
N.S.S ka yogdan”
Sardar Vallabhbhai Bhai Patel Jyanti celebrated as National Unity
On 31st Oct ,2017 the local Unit of N.S.S celebrated the birth anniversary of Iron man Sardar
Vallabhbhai Bhai Patel Jyanti. It was celebrated by Dr. Pushpa the N.S.S volunteers , and all the other
members of the staff. The chief guest of this function was our college Principal Dr. Balbir Singh
The main purpose was to celebrate his anniversary as a unity Day .After the speech of the
Principal Rastriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was taken by the students Oath was taken by every one to serve
the nation with dedication and faithfulness then Run for unity was performed by all the N.S.S
Volunteers after the flag hoisted by Our Principal Dr. Balbir Singh . The N.S.S Volunteers run a race
for the unity of nation. The winners of the race were congratulated . After the completion of race
Extension Lecture was performed by Dr. Pushpa on the topic “Biography of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel
and his contribution in our National Integration “ . In the end every staff members including Dr.
Pushpa thanked all the students and congratulated the winners of race and competitions.
Haryana Day & One Day camp
. On Nov, 1 2017 the local unit of N.S.S Celebrated Haryana Diwas & One Day camp.It was
Organized by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under the Presidentship of the Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh On
this occasion Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers. They told them about the
history of Haryana which was separated from Punjab on 1 Nov, 1966. The day was celebrated with
Swachta Abiyan. N.S.S Volunteers cleaned the campus, canteen and watered all the plants. After that
cultural activities was performed by N.S.S volunteers by singing Haryanvi song and performing
Haryanvi Dance . The function was wind up with the thanks of volunteers & staff members by Dr.
Pushpa
In this way the volunteers celebrated Haryana Day and cleaned the campus of the
college . The members of the staff also cleaned the campus .Both the function were windup with the
speech and thanks of Dr. Pushpa.
A Seven days NSS Camp from 17 Dec 2017 to 23 Dec 2017
A Seven days NSS Camp was organized by Dr. Pushpa programme officer NSS in
B.A.R Janta College Kaul , from Dec 17 , 2017 to Dec 23, 2017. About 70 Volunteers participated in
this camp. Camp was stated with Gaytri Manta and Yoga The Main chief guest Senior Bank Manager
Sh. Rai Singh Punjab National Bank Jyotisar(KKR) , Sectary Sh. Karan Singh, , Sh. Kanwar Singh, Sh.
Ishwar Singh Executive Member of Managing committee & Dr. Balbir Singh, Principal, B.A.R Janta
College were welcomed by NSS Programme Co-coordinator Dr. Pushpa . The inaugural speech was
delivered by Dr. Balbir Singh, Principal of our college emphasized the role of NSS in the community
service after that Sh. Rai Singh Senior Bank manager delivered an inspiring lecture and informed
the students about Primary benefits of life insurance in our life like coverage of death, coverage of
financial interests, needs of the family, Loan facilities , tax saving benefits etc . and tells about
different type of insurance like Life Insurance , Atal Pension Scheme , Health Insurance , study loan
etc after the inaugural function Volunteers of the NSS unit divided themselves into sub groups for
cleanliness drive and clean Science Block , B.Ed Block ,College Campus and the whole institute
premises .
The Second day of the camp began with prayer and with little body
exercise .Volunteers divided themselves in sub group for cleaning drive and clean OBC Bank ,
Balwant Singh stadium & Samathi , & tree plantation Programme was organized. In the afternoon an
expert lectures was delivered by Dr. Shalu Sachdeva Assistant professor S.D College Narwana Jind
on the topic “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Ek Mission” and debate on this topic with volunteers .On the
same day Dr. Rakesh Mittal Assistant Professor R.K.S.D (P.G) College Kaithal delivered expert
lecture on the topic “ Role of NSS in social development.” And in the evening session cultural
activities in different topic was organized by volunteers .
On the third day of the camp – debate was organized by volunteers on the topic
“Financial Literacy Mission”. In the afternoon an expert lectures was delivered by Dr. Dharamveer
Assistant Professor S.A Jain (P.G) College on the topic “Corruption challenges and Issues”.
On the fourth Day Dr. Balbir Singh , Principal of our college addressed all volunteers.
During his address he motivated and encouraged all the Volunteers to fulfill the Motto of NSS is ‘ Not
Me But You’ this reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service
and appreciation of other persons point of view after this expiring lecture by our hour able Principal
Dr. Balbir Singh , Dr Parveen Assistant Professor , D.A.V College Sadhaura Yamunanager , delivered
an expert lecture on the topic “ Value of Moral Education” and informed the volunteers about
important of Moral values in our life . After Lunch Dr. Anil Lalit Assistant Professor , B.R.A Govt.
College , Kaithal delivered an expert lecture on the topic “Clean India Green India” and on the topic
“ Copying in Examination is a Sin” and display movies on the projector on the related topic.
On the fifth Day Slogan & Painting Competition was organized on the different
topics like “ Save Water , Save Child, Beti Bachao Beti Padao , foeticide , Dowry System, Alcohol and
Drugs Awareness , volunteers display their views on above said topics via slogans.& Paintings .Those
who not participated in slogan completion were engaged in cleaning activities ,watered the plants
and made fencing to protect the plants. .After Lunch Sh. Raj Kumar Gaur, Officer, Nehru Yuva
Khender, Kaithal, delivered an Expert Lecture on the topic “Contribution of Youth in Nation Making”
. In the Evening session the officers of OBC Bank Kaul, Sh. Amit Kumar, Sh. Naresh Kumar informed
the volunteers about Net Banking & Electronic transactions in banking. . Sixth Day of the
camp began with awareness processions by volunteers & Dr Pushpa Programme Officer, Dr. Rajeev
Kumar Gaba Librarian, Sh. Krishan Kumar, Sh. Suresh Kumar , Sh. Amit Kumar, Sh. Shivansh in the
village on the subject of Prohibition of Alcohol and communal Harmony. All the volunteers rallied
into the streets of the village to create awareness among the villagers about on the current issues
running in society other Social Evils & Awareness and went through the streets of the village ,sang
slogans, raised banners and placards about prohibition of Alcohol and Smoking, Beti Bachao Beti
Padao , Save child, Foeticide, aware of voters, Dowry System, . NSS volunteers also visit Kapil Muni
thirth Temple and cleaned it neatly and Pooja was performed by volunteers. Volunteers also visit
Gardh Ratheshwar & Haryana Agricultural University campus Kaul and performed cleaning activities
there, After lunch Dr. Vinesh Walia ,Assistant Professor, C.I.S.K.M.V Fatehpur Pundri delivered an
Expert lecture on the topic “ Cashless Economy- An Initiative or Revolution in the Era of
Digitalization” . In the evening session Dr Raj Pal Rathi Associate Professor C.R.Kisan college ,Jind
delivered an expert lecture on the topic “Role of NSS in Rural Development ” .
On the seventh day the closing day of the camp. the main chief guests of day was Dr. Alka
Singh Dentist surgeon, PHC Dhand , Treasurer of College Sh. Ashwani Gupta & College Executive
Committee Member Sh. Ishwar Singh and Our College Principal Dr. Balbir Singh . Dr. Alka Aware
the NSS Volunteers about the Balanced food and Healthy Teeth Gums and lecture healthy tips for
preventing cavities and maintain good oral health, We need healthy teeth and gums to eat
nutritious foods was creation of healthy society through community health services and distribute
NSS Merit Certificates. In the end Principal Dr. Balbir Singh Address the NSS Volunteers and
congratulate Dr. Pushpa for successfully ending of the camp.
And finally, the camp was organized successfully with the Co-operation of the institute and the
authorities.
Nayta Je Subhash Chander Bose Jyanti
On 23 Jan, 2018 the local unit of N.S.S Celebrated Nayta Je Subhash Chander Bose Jyanti.It was
Organized by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under the Presidentship of the Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh On
this occasion Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers. They told them about the
history of Indain Nationalist Subhash Chander Bose who attempt during World War II to get rid of
Indian of British rule and his contribution in Indian National Movement for Independence . During
lunch break the volunteers participated in cultural activities . The function was wind up with the
thanks of volunteers & staff members by Dr. Pushpa
National Voters Day
The NSS Unit of the college celebrated National Voters Day On 25 th January 2018.and Organized
Voters Oath Ceremony for all NSS Volunteers and Staff of the Institute. The Principal Dr. Balbir Singh
lectures the volunteers about the significance of this day and encourage more young voters to take
part in the political process. On this Day Awareness Rally was organised by NSS Volunteers . At the
last of this function Nss Progrmme Officer Dr. Pushpa also encourage the volunteers to participate
in Elections process and choose best representatives of country.
Republic Day 26 th January 2018
On 26 Jan, 2018 the local unit of N.S.S Celebrated the 69 th Republic Day the most important
National event. It was Organized by the Incharge , Dr. Pushpa under the Presidentship of the
Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh. On this occasion Flag was hoisted, by the Vice President Ch. Ranbir Singh
a main guest of the function.After the flag hoisting ceremony National Anthem song was sung. After
this Dr. Pushpa and Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers. On this occasion Dr. Pushpa and
Dr. Balbir Singh addressed all the volunteers.and told volunteers about the impotents of January
26th, 1950 that the constitution of India came into force and India became a truly Sovereign,
Democratic and Republic country and India finally enjoyed the freedom of spirit, rule of law and
fundamental principle of Governance. The patriotic fervor of the Indian people on this day brings the
whole country together even in her embedded diversity. During lunch break the volunteers
participated in cultural activities A campus cleaning programme was also conducted at College
campus premises.. Mostly of the plastic, Paper and grass dried leaves and other wastes were
removed from the campus premises The programme was a great successThe function was wind up

Report of Legal Literacy Cell for the Session 2017-18

1. Legal Literacy Cell of the college organised ‘Road Safety Awareness Campaign A
life’ on August 23, 2017. The program was organised under the chairmanship of the
Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh. The main motive of the programme was to aware the
students about the rules of the road and various teachers shared their views with the
students on the said subject. Dr. Subhash Chander told about the various documents
which are required for the driving licence. He also narrated the conditions in which
the driving licence can be cancelled. Dr. Rishi Pal highlighted the importance of
helmet and seat belt while driving. Dr. Ishwar Singh expressed his views about some
important rules while crossing the road which must be followed by pedestrians and
vehicles. Dr. Amit Kumar shared his views about the safety and told to students some
helpline numbers in the case of emergency or accident. Mr. Sarvesh Kumar imparted
information about some important signals of roads which should be kept in mind. At
the end of the programme, Dr. Mamta Rani thanked all the present dignitaries and
students.
2. On September 04, 2017 “Slogan and Painting Competition was organised ” on
various topics such as Women Foeticide, Save Girl Child, Child Labour, Save Earth
and Water, Global Warming, Dowry System, Women Empowerment, etc, which are
confronted by the youth in the present world. In the competition 15 students
participated in Painting Competition and 25 in Slogan Competition. Result of the

3. On September 11, 2017 an extension lecture was organised by the Legal Literacy Cell of
the College. Dr. Alka, Primary Health Centre, Dhand (Kaithal) highlighted the need of
balanced diet for good health under the Health Awareness Programme. She shared her
views on nutritious value of food to avoid the problem of anaemia especially in females.
She highlighted the need and ways of healthy teeth. She also shared with the audience
the tips to maintain healthy teeth to stop dental disease.
4. On September 26, 2017 an “Essay Writing Competition” was organised by the Legal
Literacy Cell on various topics such as Human Rights in India, Legal Rights of Woman,
Digital India, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Women Foeticide, Domestic Violence Act, Ragging,
Right to Education, Drug De-addiction, Right to Information, Fundamental Rights, etc. under
the chairmanship of Principal, Dr. Balbir Singh. Thirty five students participated in the

5. On September 27, 2017 an extension lecture was delivered by Dr. Ishwar Singh, on the
valuable contribution of Sheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. He highlighted Bhagat Singh’s
contribution in freedom movement of India. Dr. Rishi Pal and Mr. Sarvesh Kumar also
shared their views on the role of youths in the freedom struggle of India. The event was
jointly organised by Legal Literacy Cell and Department of Political Science of the college.
Dr. Mamta Rani, Nodal Officer applauded the views of the esteemed speaker and the
enthusiasm of students was very remarkable. She paid her thanks to speakers and audience.
7. On October 09, 2017 Poem Recitation and Speech Competition was organised by the
Legal Literacy Cell in which 27 students participated in Poem Recitation and 09 students in
Speech Competition on various topics such as Human Rights in India, Legal Rights of
Woman, Digital India, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Women Foeticide, Domestic Violence Act,
Ragging, Right to Education, Drug De-addiction, Right to Information, Fundamental Rights,
etc.

9. On 8 Nov, ,2017 the Legal Literacy Cell of the college organized Road Safety Quiz competition
in which 50 students participated .It was organized by Dr. Mamta , convener of Legal cell, and all the
other members of the staff. The main motive of the competition is to aware the community about
the driving hazards on road and provide knowledge to prevent road accident and to promote and
initiate the road safety measures so that discipline on the road can be implemented .Dr. Mamta
Rani motivated the students to participate with enthusiasm in such events to enhance knowledge
for self development and community well being. She congratulated the winners and the result of the

10. A District level Road safety Quiz competition was held at Hartron Zed King Centre on
17/1/2018 .The competition was organised by Traffic Police Kaithal in which 64 students
from 6 blocks participated under the auspicious presence of Sh. Satish Gautam (D.S.P),
Sh. Mandeep (Sub-Inspector) ,Sh. Surender Kumar(A.S.I) , Sh. Satish (Head Constable) .
Mrs Astha also visited the centre during competition. At level 3 our college team secured
IInd Position in the competition . Dr. Balbir Singh Principal congratulated the team for this
excellent position. .Dr. Mamta Rani motivated the students to participate with enthusiasm in such

1. The main motive of the cell is to provide consultancy and guidance to students regarding
their future career and to encourage them to participate in competitive examinations &
interviews to have better job opportunities. Eleven students of our college appeared in the test
and faced interview on 25-09-2017 conducted by Capgemine at Panipat Institute of
Engineering & Technology, Samalkha (Haryana). Miss. Novejyoti, Class B.Sc.(NM) III was
selected by the company.
2. Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college organized an Extension lecture in the
college campus. It was organized by Dr. Mamta Convener , Career Guidance and Placement
Cell to to aware the students about future placement. The lecture was delivered by Mr.
Sarvesh Kumar, operation Manager, ‘Easilearn Company’. In his lecture he imparted
important information and opportunities to the students. For students there are many
opportunities in various fields after passing their graduation. He also awared the students
about the importance of spoken English in competitive world. All the students showed their
interest and curiosity during the lecture Dr. Mamta Rani thanked all the staff members
students who were present there.
