WE HOPE YOU LIKE OUR NEW LOOK.

We are excited to offer you an improved continuing education catalog. We’ve added a more

prominent table of contents and color-coded pages so you can easily find seminars that

interest you.

Throughout the late summer and fall, we have some fantastic new and returning seminar choices

available. In August, we welcome back Rene Janiece from Klose Training to teach Manual

Lymph Drainage for our massage therapists.

We are really excited about our new partnership with the McKenzie Institute to offer the

first two parts of their McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) training. It starts on

campus with Part A on Sept. 21-23, 2018 and Part B on Jan. 18-20, 2019.

Brian Bowen from Dao Needle in Colorado is coming to campus on Sept. 29-30 to offer a

new seminar called Dao Needle – An Innovative Acupuncture Technique to Eliminate Pain.

Northwestern alumni will receive a special discount.

According to recent findings in The Lancet, disability due to

back pain has increased by more than 50% since 1990.

The studies suggest the management of back pain

has been over-medicalized with high-tech

diagnostic procedures and interventions.

Self-care measures and non-drug

treatments have been shown

by research to be both

lower-risk and more

effective.
