Program Overview The four day “Off-Season Kick-Off” is designed for athletes who will be participating in the Laylor’s Off-Season Training Program on-site, or remotely. It will ensure each athlete begins with the development of proper foundation to maximize their development over the course of the program. Every athlete begins their off-season training program with an assessment and testing of upper and lower body strength, structural balance, a broad jump test, as well as a 12-point body fat analysis. All of these results help create a customized off-season training program for the athlete. No two programs are the same. The off-season program consists of 16 weeks broken down into four phases of four weeks. Phase 1 – Structural Balance Phase 2 – Accumulation and Hypertrophy Phase 3 – Intensification and Strength Phase 4 – Power and Plyometrics Your training results will be monitored by Clance and he will guide you through the program, altering and changing the program as required to achieve your goals.
The Program Since 2005, LPS has been one of the top programs in training high performance athletes. The all-inclusive Kick-Off program offers the following at our training facility in Toronto. • Biosignature: 12-point body fat analysis goes well beyond
standard body fat testing to reveal insights into your hormonal profile based on where your body stores fat. The analysis reveals how you store fat which allows us to define a targeted nutrition and supplementation plan that works for you
• Nutrition: learn how eat to fuel your body. Two chef prepared meals will be provided
• Supplementation: learn what supplements boost your performance. Athlete will be given pre and post workout supplementation.
• Strength Training: learn the technical and the fine points of loading and the correct mechanics of each lift
• Energy Systems Training: use the right conditioning methods to sustain peak power for the whole game
• Workout Gear: Each athlete will be provided a full workout kit.

Clance Laylor, Founder & CEO Clance Laylor was a former director of the Poliquin Performance Centre in Toronto, a branch of the world’s leading strength training certification organization. Clance suffered a serious injury 20 years ago that ended his career in track and field, but inspired him to help other athletes avoid injury through the right strengthening and conditioning. Clance has trained pros like P.K. Subban of the Montreal Canadiens and worked with trainers from Sweden’s national hockey league. Certifications:

Dr. Marc Bubbs, Strength & Conditioning Coach Dr. Marc Bubbs is a naturopathic doctor and strength and conditioning coach with Laylor Performance Systems and Basketball Canada. Marc believes that “movement is the best medicine” and he takes a holistic approach to athlete care that integrates traditional Eastern medicine and cutting-edge Western medicine. In addition to naturopathic medicine, Marc is also trained in intravenous therapeutics, active release therapy and sports nutrition, and stresses the importance of a whole foods diet to help athletes boost performance. Marc is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and is fully licensed to practice in Ontario. As well as a naturopathic doctor, Marc is a certified strength and conditioning coach, yoga instructor, spinning coach, and pilates instructor.
