We have listed some useful information to make your stay with us more enjoyable.

No Smoking Policy:All units are strictly non-smoking. When smoking outside, please use the ashtrays provided, be considerate of our other guests and smoke away from open windows and doors.

In the event of someone having smoked in the unit we will engage a specialist cleaning company and we will reserve the right to charge the registered guest such costs and any resulting loss of income while the unit is out of order.

Parking:A single parking space is provided for each unit. The motel will not be liable for any damage or theft to any personal belongings including motor vehicles and contents.

Pets:Sorry, no pets are allowed in the units or around the grounds.

Additional Requirements:The following are available from reception during your stay:Porta cot, High chair, Selection of Adapter plugs, Rice Cooker.

Laundry:There is a fully equipped laundry for personal use. Laundry powder is provided complimentary. Any questions – please ask at Reception.

Lost Property:We may be able to forward items left behind if you provide us with an address. Lost property is disposed of after two months. Please note all food and beverage items left in the units are disposed of once you have departed.

Luggage:We have a luggage storage area available.

Mail and Stamps:There is a mailbox at Reception. Wanaka’s Post Office is at 39 Ardmore Street, Wanaka.

Quiet Enjoyment Policy:Please be aware, that as a common courtesy, we have a “Quiet Enjoyment Policy” to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction for all guests utilising our motel. If for any reason a guest from another unit disturbs or disrupts your stay, please contact Reception.

Where guests have been requested to refrain from excessive noise or behaviour and continue to offend, the management reserve the right to immediately terminate the tenancy. If the occupancy ends or is terminated the guest must immediately vacate the room.

Recycling:In keeping with our environmental policy we encourage recyclable waste such as flattened aluminium cans, cardboard, plastic bottles (rinsed, no tops), glass, newspaper/paper. Bins are provided within the complex grounds.

Ski & Cycle Storage:We request that snowboards, skis, boots and cycles are not kept in the units. These may be stored in the storage room which is at the end of the garage. Personal belongings are stored at the owner’s risk. PLEASE DO NOT WAX YOUR SKIS OR SNOWBOARDS IN YOUR UNIT.

About UsI’ve always loved the smell, the feel and the look of beautiful soap and now I get the chance to indulge myself every day. Using essential oils and foraging in my kitchen and garden, each of my soaps is handcrafted and uses the best ingredients I can source. If it’s bright blue and looks like a cupcake, it’s not one of my soaps! I don’t add any artificial fragrance, those beautiful aromas that will perfume your entire room come solely from essential oils and plants. And I don’t use any artifical colour, just the natural colours of the ingredients I’m using.

“Photos for the soul, not the masses”

Greg was born in 1971 in Napier, New Zealand where much of his time was spent on the family orchard market garden. He moved to Christchurch in the early nineties to continue his education at Canterbury University where he discovered a passion for the great outdoors especially mountaineering and photography. Although educated in Mathematics, his love of photographing the New Zealand landscape led him to professional photography in 2002, and with his partner Rebecca opened their first gallery in Old Cromwell town.

“I will often visit a spot more than once before deciding on a composition, then wait for the light to be right for the image and try to capture a view where people are not just seeing a recording of part of the landscape but part of my inner self, so to create a piece that is not only individual and original but also interesting so that people will want to wonder and question.

I am currently shooting on a Canon 5DIII camera and a variety of lenses. Originally Tussock but now Bracken and Teazle, our Airedale terriers sometimes accompany me on my wanderings.”

Greg tries to capture “mood” in his photographs using the composition and lighting to achieve an evocative image. For the last 13 years he and Rebecca have operated their studio gallery (Endemic) from the beautiful 1913 Roxburgh Post Office, one and a half hours from Wanaka on the way to Dunedin.
