April 14-15Third Sunday of EasterAfter the resurrection Jesus ap-peared to his disciples many times, often sharing food with them. “They recognized him in the breaking of the bread” as the Gospel says this Sun-day. Jesus was not just making a point about his bodily resurrection; he was also making a point about community. The risen Jesus brings people together and they become the Body of Christ. We do not choose the members of the Body of Christ, we have been chosen, by the grace of God to belong. Like the disciples of the past, we are called to give witness to this by our lives. Is our love, our mercy and compassion, especially to the poor and vulnerable credible enough that everyone who sees us could tell that we are members of Christ’s body?
Abril 14-15Tercer Domingo de PascuaDespués de la resurrección, Jesús se apa-reció a sus discípulos muchas veces, con frecuencia compartiendo comida con ellos “ellos lo reconocieron al partir el pan” como el Evangelio nos dice este domingo. Jesús no estaba únicamente aludiendo a su resur-rección corporal; él estaba también hablando sobre comunidad. El Jesús resucitado hace que la gente se junte y se convierta en el Cuerpo de Cristo. Nosotros no escogemos a los miembros del Cuerpo de Cristo, hemos sido escogidos, por la gracia de Dios, para pertenecer a Él. Como los discípulos del pasado, estamos llamados a dar testimonio de esto con nuestras vidas ¿Es nuestro amor, nuestra misericordia y compasión, especial-mente por los pobres y vulnerables sufici-entemente creíbles de manera que todos los que nos miren sepan que somos miembros del Cuerpo de Cristo?

To everyone who worked with such devotion and care so that the liturgies of Holy Week could be celebrated with divine love, thank you! Surely Our Lord will bless you for the many sacrifices you make for His glory and honor.
In a special way, the month of April is dedicated to the Holy Spirit. For, just as the purpose of Lent is to prepare our hearts to celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord; the purpose of the season of Easter is to prepare our hearts to celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Let us dedicate the fifty days of the Easter season to the Holy Spirit, and pray…
O Jesus, soon after your Ascension into your glory at the right hand of the Father, you showed your goodness by sending forth the Holy Spirit with many and various gifts. From the Eucharist as from another heaven wherein you have set up your throne of love, you impart to souls the spirit of life and strength and you enkindle in us the light of divine charity. Grant us the grace to reap all the fruits given to us by the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Oh Jesús, poco después de tu Ascensión a la gloria a la diestra del Padre, mostraste tu bondad enviando al Espíritu Santo con muchos y varios dones. Desde la Eucaristía como desde otro cielo en el que has creado tu trono de amor, impartes a las almas el es-píritu de vida y fuerza y enciendes en nosotros la luz de la caridad divina. CHURCH PAVERSThe pavers in the walkway which were ordered and finally picked up n mid-October are now in the pathway from the church to the school. All families have been contacted and we wish to thank all purchasers as well as our Altar Society, James Quezada, Anne Patterson and Barbara Pecuch. We have been asked if the new bricks (pavers) can be ordered again. We will do this again, but we need at least 15 orders before we can place an order. The last time that took almost a year, and we are sorry for that long waiting period, but all the money does go to reduce our mortgage. This is a great way to remember a passing of a family member rather than flowers or just make a permanent mark of your family on our church grounds. Forms are in the church and in the office reception area. Thank you.

DE LA IGLESIALos adoquines/ladrillos que fueron ordenados y finalmente entregados a mediados de octubre están ahora en el pasadizo cubierto de la iglesia a la escuela. Todas las familias han sido con-tactadas y deseamos agradecer a todas las personas que ordenaron, así como a nuestra Sociedad del Altar, James Quezada, Anne Patterson y Barbara Pecuch. Gente ha estado preguntando si los ladrillos (adoquines) se pueden ordenar nuevamente. Haremos esto de nuevo, pero necesitamos al menos 15 pedidos antes de que podamos hacer una orden. Are you wanting to learn more about our faith? Are you just sitting in your car waiting for your kids to get out of religious education classes? Take that leap of faith because we have something for you. Classes will be offered on Wednesday evenings at 6:45 p.m. in English with Anna Lara in the Knights of Columbus room (PAC301) and in Spanish with Art Lara in room 208 in the Education building.
On Sundays, we will have a Spanish session at 9:45 a.m. in room 208 of the Education Building.
This is open to everyone come join us for this year’s Adult Faith Formation Program. Classes will follow the RE calendar for the year. For more information please contact the RE Office.
